If yes, then SABC Film & Television Production Learnership is for you!
SABC is providing an exciting opportunity to aspirant, vibrant and energetic individuals who have completed Grade 12. This learnership programme will provide successful applicants with competencies that will prepare them for a career in Film & Television Production.
THE PROGRAM WILL TAKE PLACE IN EAST LONDON, EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE
Admission Requirements:-
· Meet the minimal requirements of the qualification
· Grade 12 Certificate
· Physical Science and Maths
· Communication and language competence
· Computer literacy
· Be a South African citizen between the ages 18 - 35
· Be unemployed and not registered on any other Learnership, internship and/or WIL
· Residents from Eastern Cape Province
INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS WHO MEET THE ABOVE CRITERIA ARE INVITED TO FORWARD:-
· A concise 2 page CV
· Certified copy of ID
· Certified copy of Grade 12 Certificate
· Proof of residence
· Completed application form

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP FOR DAILY DRAMA WRITING AND DIRECTING

Ochre Moving Pictures, a subsidiary of Times Media, is investing in skills development in the field of daily-drama screen writing and multi-cam directing.

We are offering a short, introductory course free of charge to successful applicants on 15 and 22 October, facilitated by a leading industry professional, Scandal’s Show Runner and Series Producer. It will provide aspirant writers and directors with the basic tools needed to tell a story effectively with the medium of television, including:
- Understanding a story premise
- How to tell a story effectively
- Analysing a scene
- Understanding camera language

This introductory course is also intended to identify a few suitable aspirant writers and directors to be offered advanced training
The course will consist of workshops from 10 to 1 pm on each Saturday, with an assignment to be completed between the two workshops.

Applicants must be able to commit to both Saturday mornings and have the time and capacity to deliver the assignment to deadline.

Who can apply?
To be considered for the course you must send:
1) A letter of no more than 200 words explaining why you want to attend the course.
2) A description of your experience in either writing or directing in the field of drama.
3) A short biography of your life from birth until present time in no more than 500 words.
