Hey TUTzens!
Soshanguve Campus Community Engagement in collaboration with the Directorate of Sport and Recreation came together at Jehovah Jirah Orphanage Centre on Friday, 7 August in a joint effort to give back.
Offerings which consisted mainly of clothes and food supplies that had been donated by students and campus contributors throughout the year were brought forth.
E-sport games were provided to the children as the recreational activity of the day, under the guidance of committee and directorate members.
Social worker of the centre, Dineo Tladi, as well as managing director, Kgomotso Thebe, warmly opened their place to the Tshwane University of Technology; where all parties involved had one common goal: To better the lives of the children living there, and offer them a chance in the world.

Hey TUTzens!
The Department of Journalism and Integrated Communication at North Campus hosted its 2nd Annual Breakfast Talk, bringing together alumni and industry experts to connect first-year Communication students with the world beyond the lecture room.
The event gave students the opportunity to hear inspiring stories from successful professionals they admire, learn about their career journeys, understand how they overcame challenges, and gain valuable insights into preparing for life beyond university.
The department also created a platform for Journalism and Integrated Communication students who are entrepreneurs to showcase and market their products, encouraging creativity, entrepreneurship, and collaboration among students.
It was a morning of meaningful conversations, inspiration, networking, and learning beyond the classroom!
