Hey ICT Fam!
The Faculty of ICT’s Department of IT and Informatics in collaboration with The Cyberculture Foundation, visited Jiswa School in Lenasia on 5 June 2026 for a meaningful Cyberbullying Awareness Outreach Programme.

The session empowered learners with valuable knowledge on online safety, responsible digital behaviour, privacy, kindness online, and how to identify and respond to cyberbullying. The interactive engagement encouraged learners to become confident and responsible digital citizens while promoting safer online spaces for everyone.

A big thank you to ProfTopside Mathonsi, Dr Tshimangadzo Tshilongamulenzhe, and Dr Tendani Lavhengwa for sharing their expertise and making a positive impact in the community.

Together, we continue to build a culture of respect, empathy, and digital responsibility.

Hey ICT Fam!

With the winter season upon us, many of us are likely to be affected by the influenza (“flu”) virus. Receiving the flu vaccine earlier in the season provides protection throughout the influenza season. Therefore, it is important to get vaccinated as soon as possible to ensure that you stay healthy all winter long.

The flu vaccine is available for free at the Directorate of Health and Wellness for staff and students, while stocks last.
