SANC Membership Management System (MMS) Project - Phase 3 - Foreign Registration module (MVP) launch on 28 September 2026

From 28 September 2026, new foreign qualification applications for studies and employment must be submitted online through SANCConnect, the new MMS portal introduced by the SANC. Applicants should follow the published guidance and submit all required information and supporting documents.
The MMS is a strategic initiative that modernises and digitises the Council's core business functions, resulting in improved service delivery, greater operational efficiency and an enhanced user experience.
The MMS, branded as SANCConnect, was launched on 21 April 2026 through the SANC Business Hub, which is accessible via a dedicated button on the SANC website (https://www.sanc.co.za/sanc-business-hub/).
The Third phase, or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) as it is called, of the MMS programme is the Foreign Members MVP, which digitises the Council's end-to-end registration processes for learners and practitioners.
The Foreign Members MVP will be implemented in two phases from 28 September to 26 October 2026, introducing the following functional areas:
Phase 1
New foreign qualification applications for studies and employment. (28 September 2026).
Phase 2
Renewals and Sub-Processes (Elective Practical/Voluntary Services and Research, Verification and Transcripts) (26 October 2026).
Under Phase 1 nurses and students who want to either study or work in South Africa will apply using this portal.
The purpose of this MVP is to Provide foreigners the ability to create a profile and to apply for foreign qualification
should they wish to study within South Africa or are qualified and are seeking employment within South Africa.
