TURF Tuks Undergraduate Research Forum - Health Tuks Undergraduate Research Forum (TURF) is a platform for Health Science students at the University of Pretoria seeking to simplify the world of research.

TURF Health, or the Tuks Undergraduate Research Forum - Health, is a platform for students of the Faculty of Health Science at the University of Pretoria with the aim to simplify the all-to-easily intimidating world of research and to orchestrate undergrad research initiatives. We hope to accomplish this by monthly talks on aspects of Health research, ranging from where to begin to involving you in current research undertakings by the University and its affiliated hospitals. We also work closely with the IJMS - International Journal of Medical Students and the office of the Vice-Dean: Research at the Faculty.

🔬✨ A glimpse into the world of Neuroendocrinology!

Our students recently had the opportunity to take part in a shadowing experience at the Centre for Neuroendocrinology, gaining valuable insight into the intersection of neuroscience, endocrinology and research.

From observing the work happening behind the scenes to engaging with researchers and learning more about careers in science and medicine, experiences like these help turn curiosity into meaningful exploration. 🧠🧬

Are you passionate about improving health professions education? We are inviting *two students from each degree programme* in the Faculty of Health Sciences (or any Health Professions programme) to participate in a series of interactive lectures focused on identifying, developing, and implementing solutions to curriculum-related challenges.
