Warm greetings from the South African Theological Seminary. The seminary’s e-conference team is delighted to share the Call for Papers for our 2022 e-conference titled, “Theology from the Global South: Text, Context, and Mission” with you.
SATS is inviting Christian practitioners and scholars from all sub-disciplines to join us from 9–10 March 2022 as we explore theology for and from the Global South and its dialogue with text, context, and mission. The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Wanjiru M. Gitau (Palm Beach Atlantic University) and our plenaries include Dr. Harvey Kwiyani (Christian Mission Society; Global Connections) and Dr. Modisa Mzondi (South African Theological Seminary).
Possible areas to explore include:
• Scripture and context in conversation
• Theology of and from Africa
• Theological reflections on Covid-19
• Global South debates in Systematic Theology
• Research methodologies for and from the Global South
• The African church post Covid-19
• Contextual expressions of the Missio Dei
• Cross-contextual theology and the African diaspora
• Mission from the margins
• Digital ecclesiology (online, social media, and other virtual platforms for ministry)
• Children and youth in the African church.
