Hello again friends,
We love doing learning activities here at Stratford Prep!
We have built ourselves our very own vegetable garden and our Grade 1's are doing a great job of making sure that the veges grow healthily🌱🥕🥬. And on learning about fruits they made their very own fruit salad with yoghurt.... Which we all got to share. Yumm 🍎🍌🍓🥝
Take a look at these pics....
Till next time!

Welcome back to school Strappy kids!
It's great to see all your happy faces again! This is our last push towards the end of 2019...
We had some wonderful events last term. Our unique Mandela Day 'all day marathon' and the R6767 we raised for the Childhood Cancer Foundation, Principal Brenda's 50th birthday, we went to the Kidz rock show at the Barnyard theatre and had a ball! We held our very first science fair and said a sad goodbye to a beloved teacher. In between all that we got some serious learning and exams done... How cool is our school? So again, welcome back friends and full steam ahead! 😁

Hello there friends!
Stratford Prep recently participated in a marathon of ILT, BAL-A -VIS-X, Art and fun exercises on 18 July to do our "67 minutes for Mandela Day". We asked family and friends to sponsor all of our strappy kids.
The response was fantastic and R6767 was raised!
These funds were donated to the CHOC Childhood cancer foundation and we handed over the cheque on Friday 16 August.
Thank you to all of our valued Stratford friends and family!

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL STRAPPY KIDS, PARENTS AND FRIENDS!
And a warm welcome to the new friends who started with us in Term 3.
What better way to start of the chilly term than with the celebration of Principal Brenda's 50th birthday! Rainbow themed coloured ribbons flitted off every palm tree as our kids jumped on the enormous inflatable obstacle course and took part in sport games, art and party fun! And let's not forget the delicious nibbles that were on offer... The day flew by and we were all happily exhausted as the sun went down.
Thank you to Principal Brenda for an incredible day!
Here are a few pics to document the occasion......
P.S.... Stay tuned for our Mandela Day 18 hour marathon.... What are you doing for your 67 minutes?

Hello Stratford friends…..

It’s our new uniform launch!
We are ecstatic to be able to tell you that we are officially launching our new uniform this Saturday 4 May @ 1pm to 2:30pm.
We are proud to be South Africans and incorporated the African heritage into the design of the new formal top the children will wear.
We have named it “The Shweshwe top” and we are very proud of it.
What is Shweshwe you say? Shweshwe is a traditional African indigo clothing design with a repetitive pattern. It’s often called the “Blue print” Have a look at the design we came up with.
The children then wear the top with a pair of jeans or jean shorts.

See!..... We said we were unique!

Hi again friends!
Here is a look at a project done by our Grade 6's and 7's.
Today we did something all children should build and experience... and that is a fully functioning mini volcano!
The subject was Geography and the theme was the inner workings of our earth and what that does to outer earth.
Types of volcanoes were discussed and how they can destroy yet also create at the same time.
Some volcanoes spew millions of tons of ash and others just hot molten lava.
Speaking of molten lava (or with our volcanoes it was bicarb and vinegar) ... Let's look at what fun was had from building volcanoes! 🤗😃
