A fresh coat of paint, a brand-new space, and a little mystery… 👀

Here’s a little sneak peek at one of our new spaces — but you’ll have to wait and see what it becomes! 🤫✨

During the holidays, the whole team jumped in to help our Louis Botha therapist bring this space to life. And let’s just say… she’s a woman of many talents! 🎨💪

From painting walls, to bringing coffee, to providing moral support from a safe distance 😂☕, everyone found a way to lend a hand.

We may be a team of therapists, social workers and child-care professionals… but apparently, we’re also painters, decorators, coffee runners and professional chatters when the occasion calls for it. 😂🖌️☕

Because around here, teamwork means everyone gets a brush… or at least a coffee! 😜

Danksy julle harde werk kan ons kinders weer sien hoe iets klein geplant word, met liefde versorg word, en uiteindelik iets groots word. 🌱🥬🍅

Happy Secretary’s Day! 📞💻❤️

Today we’re celebrating Regina and Maryna — the two friendly faces you’ll find at the counter and the voices you hear when you call us! ☎️😊

They’re answering calls, helping visitors, managing admin, solving problems, keeping things moving… and somehow still managing to smile through it all! 😂

From “How can we help you?” to “Let me just check that for you…” — these ladies are often the first people you meet and the ones making sure everything behind the scenes keeps ticking.

Basically, if it needs to be organised, answered, found, booked, sorted or followed up… chances are Regina or Maryna already knows about it. 😂👏

Thank you, Regina and Maryna, for everything you do — seen and unseen. We appreciate you more than you know! 🌷❤️

Kids grow like weeds… especially over the holidays! 😅🌱

That school shirt that fit perfectly in May? By the time school starts again, it might suddenly be a little too short, a little too tight, or just… nope, not happening anymore. 😂

If your child has had a mid-year growth spurt and outgrown their school clothes, bring them our way! 👕➡️🎒

We’re collecting new or good-quality second-hand school clothing for all our children, with a special focus on our high school learners.

We’re looking for:

* Grey shirts
* White shirts
* Grey pants
* Grey skirts

So, before those outgrown school clothes get pushed to the back of the cupboard, let them go from your Kas to our Klas! ❤️

Winter is almost behind us, and our gardens are ready for their spring comeback! 🌱

Today, we’re giving a shout-out to the people behind the scenes who keep our spaces looking beautiful — our incredible gardeners! 💚

Maintaining not only two premises, but 28 houses is no small task. From cutting and planting to watering, trimming and tidying, there is always something that needs doing. And somehow, they still manage to keep everything looking beautiful! 🌿😅

Their hard work helps create welcoming spaces that our children can feel proud of — because the places our children call home should feel cared for too.

Here’s to the people keeping our gardens growing, our lawns neat and our premises looking their best! 🌱💚

🎾 Handjie Tennis

Throwback to when the courts came alive at both Jakaranda and Louis Botha! 🎾📸

Handjie Tennis gave our children a chance to get moving, learn the game and put their hand-eye coordination to the test — quite literally! 😂 — in tournaments held at both homes. The smiles, concentration and competitive spirit said it all! 🏆🎾

And because the adults can never resist joining in… even some of our staff gave it a turn! The competitive spirit was definitely not limited to the children. 😅

At one point, one of the kids shouted: “Tannie, beat hom vir die GIRLS!” 😂👏

Looking back at moments like these reminds us how special childhood memories can be — the excitement of trying something new, cheering each other on and, of course, seeing who can claim the win!

At our Children’s Homes, creativity is always the name of the game. From sports and fishing to rowing, art, games and everything in between, we’re always looking for ways to keep our children active, curious, entertained and making memories. 💙
