If she could sit down with her younger self, here's what our Chief Marketing Officer from Core Education would say.

Dear little Faiza,

I won't tell you it all goes to plan. Because it doesn't - but it's better than you imagined, trust me.

You'll go on to earn three degrees, and somewhere along the way, you'll understand why education matters so much to you: It's not the degrees themselves, it's the opportunities that they open up. They will give you a seat at the table, a voice worth listening to, and will shatter the glass ceilings you always saw growing up.

Life won't look the way you imagined it would. You'll become a single mother to two children, and some days you'll wonder how you manage it all. But you'll figure it out because you're resilient and consistent. Two traits that will see you through everything.

You'll learn that strength and softness aren't opposites and you will go on to hold your ground while still being gentle.

And one more thing? You don't need to be perfect to build something meaningful. You just need to keep showing up for the things, and the people, that matter, even on the days it's hard - because to have a community, you have to be that community to others.
