There are moments in life when you look back & realise that God was writing a story long before you knew how the pages would unfold.

On the 2nd of August 1997, my gran wrote a poem called "A Swarm of B's."

At the time, I was just a young girl, only a month away from my 13th birthday. I don't think either of us could have imagined that, almost thirty years later, those words would become the inspiration behind something called B-Loved.

Gran, your poem was more than words on a page.

It was a seed.

A seed that quietly waited through the years until God, in His perfect timing, breathed life into it.

Today, that seed has become an invitation.

An invitation for people to slow down.

To encounter Jesus.

To discover the beauty of His finished work.

To come to Him just as they are.

You taught me more than you probably ever realised. Your love, your faith & your gentle spirit continue to echo through my life. Although I wish you could have seen this day with your own eyes, I know that every life touched by B-Loved becomes part of the legacy you left behind.

This first box is lovingly dedicated to you.

Not because B-Loved is about remembering the past, but because your story became part of God's bigger story.

And ultimately, this is all about Jesus.

May every page, every devotional, every gift & every quiet moment lead someone closer to Him.

Thank you for planting a seed.

By God's grace, may it continue to bear fruit for many years to come.

Before a learner opens a book, there is preparation.

📚 Resources are organised.
📝 Learning is planned.
🧩 Concepts are considered.
📖 Materials are prepared.
🌱 A structured environment is created.

Because the learning environment matters.
A consistent routine, clear expectations and appropriate academic support can help learners focus, engage with their work and grow in confidence.

At Pearls For Jesus, we value the preparation that happens behind the scenes because every learner deserves to be supported with care and intention.
The small details matter.

“I understand it when you explain it… but I can't do it by myself.”

Many parents have heard this before.
A learner may understand a concept while someone is guiding them, but struggle when they need to apply that knowledge independently.

This is not always a sign that they are incapable.

Sometimes they need to:

📚 See the concept explained in a different way.

🧩 Break the task into smaller steps.

✏️ Practise applying the skill.

🔁 Receive feedback and try again.

💡 Learn how to approach the problem independently.

Good academic support is not about simply giving a learner the answers.
It is about helping them understand how to find the answers.

Because the goal is not dependence.
The goal is growing confidence and independence. 🌱

What is one subject or skill your child understands with support but finds difficult to do independently?

Before we call a child lazy, let's ask a different question:

“What might be making this difficult for them?”

Sometimes what looks like avoidance or a lack of effort may be connected to something deeper.

A child may be:
📚 Feeling overwhelmed by work they don't know how to begin.
🧠 Struggling to focus.
😟 Afraid of getting the answer wrong.
💔 Lacking confidence.
❓ Not fully understanding the concept.
🧩 Trying to work with gaps in their foundational skills.

This does not mean that children should never be held accountable.

It means that before we label a child, it is worth taking the time to understand what may be happening beneath the behaviour.

Sometimes a child doesn't need more pressure.
Sometimes they need the right explanation, a little patience and the support to try again. 🌱

Every child can learn. Every child can grow.

Some parents are able to be closely involved in their child's daily learning.
Some parents work during the day.
