In 2025, TREE Cape Town started a football ministry at Danie Ackermann Primary School. By God's grace, 2026 saw us officially enter the local league, with two age groups training and competing weekly, sponsored kits, and local coaches now on board.

What means most, though, is watching the boys take ownership of prayer before every match and training session. Faith taking root in the next generation, on and off the field. ⚽

We recently partnered with three other churches to share the Gospel with the teenagers of Midstream.

It was a powerful evening that demonstrated what can happen when the Church comes together to reach the next generation. Hundreds of young people heard the message of Jesus, and we are grateful that this initiative has received the support of both the school principals and the estate's board of directors. Our next gathering is planned for October.

Please pray with us that these young people would experience God's glory shining into their hearts and lives. May His light shine through them into their classrooms, sports teams, friendships, and across their schools, leading many to Jesus and raising up a generation of disciples who impact their world.🔥

Yesterday at Maragon Olympus, we stood in awe as we caught a glimpse of what it looks and sounds like to know God through the eyes of a child. Perhaps this is what Jesus meant when He called us to have faith like children.

May what we witnessed inspire you, as it has inspired us, to keep carrying God's vision for your school. He wants to work in and through our children, and we have the incredible privilege of partnering with Him in shaping the next generation. Goosebumps on the first day back is exactly how it should be.

At Laerskool Menlopark, we recently had the privilege of partnering with the Prayer Parents to bless and pray for the security guards who faithfully serve our school community.

As a small expression of gratitude, each guard received a winter gift bag, and together we prayed for God's protection, strength, and peace over their lives. 🙏❄️

Creating a healthy environment for the development of the next generation begins with valuing every person who contributes to the wellbeing of a school. By honouring those who help keep our learners, teachers, and staff safe each day, we continue to cultivate a culture of care, dignity, and community.
