The Department of Public Health Medicine was honored to welcome Dr. Majake, CEO of Steve Biko Academic Steve Biko Hospital, during a special visit to the department as we celebrated Womenโ€™s Month. ๐Ÿ’œ

The occasion also brought our department together to celebrate the April, May, June and July celebrations**, making it a wonderful opportunity to recognise our colleagues, celebrate achievements, and strengthen the spirit of togetherness within our department. ๐ŸŽ‰

This Womenโ€™s Month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, achievements, and contributions of women in healthcare, leadership, our workplaces, and communities.

Today, our team had the opportunity to visit West Rand District Health Services as part of an insightful field trip experience.

The visit provided valuable exposure to healthcare service delivery, professional engagement, and practical learning within the district health system. It was an enriching experience that strengthened our understanding of public health operations and community healthcare services.

We appreciate the warm welcome and the knowledge shared during the visit.
