The Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Pretoria Branch Re-Launch:
The Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy(SAIMM) President William Joughin gave a brief introduction at the re-launch, followed by an exceptional lecture from Prof. Kathy Sole on "Copper Solvent Extraction on the African Copper Belt: From Historic Origins to World-Leading Status," which was highly insightful.

Overall, the event was fantastic, bringing together industry professionals, academics, and students for the relaunch 🚀 .

The re-launch of The Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) Pretoria branch, hosted by Prof. Pieter Pistorius at the University of Pretoria on Thursday evening, July 25th, was a tremendous success. SAIMM Young Professionals Council held an information session with third and final-year students, enlightening them about SAIMM , its pivotal role in the mining and metallurgy industry and how Metallurgical Engineering graduates can benefit and participate.
