๐ŸŸข 1. Better Stability โ€” Helps keep the ladder stable.

๐ŸŸข 2. Correct Angle โ€” Gives the ladder a safe working angle.

๐ŸŸข 3. Reduces Sliding โ€” Helps reduce the chance of the ladder slipping away from the wall.

๐Ÿšจ SUSPENSION TRAUMA โ€” A HIDDEN RISK. A RACE AGAINST TIME with HSE Trainer

A fall from height is not always the end of the emergency.

When a worker falls and remains suspended in a full-body harness, the body can be exposed to Suspension Trauma (Harness Hang Syndrome). Prolonged, motionless suspension may contribute to reduced circulation and can lead to serious medical consequences.

โฑ๏ธ TIME MATTERS โ€” EVERY SECOND COUNTS.

๐Ÿฆบ KEY SAFETY POINTS:

๐Ÿ”น Plan Before You Work at Height
Always have a suitable rescue plan in place before starting work.

๐Ÿ”น Never Work at Height Without a Rescue Plan
A fall-arrest system is not a complete safety solution unless there is a plan for what happens after a fall.

๐Ÿ”น Rescue as Quickly as Practicable
A suspended worker should be rescued promptly by trained personnel using a suitable rescue system.

๐Ÿ”น Keep Moving While Suspended, If Able
If conscious and physically able, the suspended worker should follow their training and use appropriate suspension-relief techniques or devices to reduce pressure and improve comfort while awaiting rescue.

๐Ÿ”น Do Not Immediately Lay the Rescued Worker Flat
After rescue, the worker should be assessed and managed by trained first-aid/medical personnel. Follow your emergency response procedure and seek professional medical assistance.

๐Ÿ”น Inspect Your Equipment
Check harnesses, lanyards, connectors, lifelines, and rescue equipment before use.

๐Ÿ”น Train Your Team
Regular training, emergency drills, and practical rescue exercises can make a critical difference during an emergency.

โš ๏ธ REMEMBER:

Fall Protection Saves You From the Fall.
Rescue Planning Protects You After the Fall.

A strong safety culture means preparing before an emergency happensโ€”not after.

๐Ÿ’š Train. Inspire. Protect.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Safety Today. Life Tomorrow.

๐Ÿ“ข Share this post with your colleagues, supervisors, safety professionals, and work-at-height teams. One safety message can help save a life.

โš ๏ธ Small Warning Signs Can Prevent Major Accidents with HSE Engineers Hub โš ๏ธ

Every workplace accident starts with a warning sign. A small unsafe act, a hazardous condition, or an unreported near miss may seem insignificant todayโ€”but if ignored, it can escalate into a serious injury, permanent disability, or even a fatality.

The Accident Pyramid (Heinrich's Triangle) teaches us that for every major accident, there are numerous minor incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions that occurred beforehand. By identifying and addressing these early warning signs, organizations can break the chain of events before a tragedy happens.

๐Ÿฆบ Key Safety Actions:
โœ… Report all hazards immediatelyโ€”no matter how small.
โœ… Never ignore a near miss; treat it as a valuable learning opportunity.
โœ… Correct unsafe acts before they become unsafe habits.
โœ… Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments.
โœ… Encourage open communication without fear of blame.
โœ… Participate actively in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
โœ… Follow established procedures and always wear the required PPE.
โœ… Remember that every employee has the authority and responsibility to stop unsafe work.

A strong safety culture is built when everyone takes ownership of safetyโ€”not only for themselves but also for their coworkers. One timely report, one safe decision, or one corrective action can save a life.

๐Ÿ’ก Remember:
"Safety is a choice you makeโ€”not a chance you take. Every near miss reported today is a serious accident prevented tomorrow." ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

Protect lives. Report hazards. Learn from near misses. Work safelyโ€”every task, every time.
