I'm excited to be joining the IABC Africa Conference 2026 in Cape Town, where I'll be presenting a session on "Breaking Silos: How HR and Communication Can Co-Create Culture and Trust."

In today's workplaces, employees do not experience HR, leadership, communication, and culture as separate functions. They experience one organisation. In this interactive session, we'll explore how HR and Communication can work together more intentionally to build trust, create alignment, strengthen employee experience, and prepare organisations for change.

Expect practical insights, audience participation, current workplace research, and tools you can take back to your organisation to help bridge the gap between people strategy and communication strategy.

I look forward to connecting with communicators from across Africa and learning from the conversations that emerge.

Geared for connection. Geared for community. 🤝

This week’s Belgian Chamber of Commerce in South Africa event reminded us why in-person moments matter: they help us understand people, not just business.

As year-end events roll in, tell us: What part of these functions gears you for the year ahead?

⚜⚜ Shoutout to Mentorship Wins! ⚜⚜

Mentorship programs are game-changers for young entrepreneurs, giving them the support, guidance, and resources they need to tackle the ups and downs of starting a business. With the help of experienced mentors, these budding business leaders can build their skills, gain confidence, and make smart decisions. This is exactly what happened when Nthabiseng Patience Senyolo, and Mola kicked off their mentorship journey with their assessments.

Nthabiseng’s knack for building strong connections (thanks to her Relator and Individualization strengths) and her reliable service (Consistency) were key. Her drive (Achiever) and love for learning (Learner) kept the team pushing forward.

Kamogelo’s talents in Analytical thinking and Strategic planning helped them make smart, data-driven decisions. His Focus and Competitive spirit kept them on track and striving for the best, while his Significance inspired them to make a real impact.

Together, they launched Categori Store, a small business that’s already making waves. Just this past Saturday, they nailed their pitch at the Sizanani EESY Mentorship program’s competition, backed by the Belgian Chamber of Commerce in South Africa, and took home the win!

As a Gallup coach, it’s been amazing to see their growth and dedication. Nthabiseng and Kamogelo’s journey shows just how powerful mentorship can be and the incredible potential we all have. I’m super proud of these two and can’t wait to see what they achieve next.

Congrats, Nthabiseng and Kamogelo! 🎉 You’re an inspiration to us all.
