Today officially marks the end of the Onderstepoort Feedlot Challenge 2020.
The results are in and The Beefy Bunch takes 2nd place💪

We like them big, we like them Chunky. 🐄
Our boys are not recognizable with all of those gains 💪 but we are definitely proud of the progress that they've made. 🥺

It's been a month away from our herd and we're missing them like crazy😞 However we know there's no need to fear since the amazing Dr Hentzen and his team have been caring for them.🐄

Formulating a feed ration is one of the most important tasks in a Feedlot.
Did you know that we add molasses which is a sticky, sweet substance to bind the feed and provide the cattle with energy. It also makes it more palatable or tasty for them which encourages them to eat more.

Cattle are very social animals. They usually groom each other according to their social hierarchy. The more dominant animals are usually the ones being groomed by the submissive animals. 🐂
