AARTO Training Centre provides comprehensive training of the AARTO Act which regulates traffic law enforcement and road safety in South Africa. The training is facilitated by legal and policing experts GFF Schoeman, Dr SR Kockott who have authored several definitive manuals on the point demerit system.

A central feature of the Act is the Points-Demerit System, where drivers and businesses accumulate points that can lead to the suspension or cancellation of vehicle and driving licences. The three stages of enforcement—infringement notices, courtesy letters, and enforcement orders—are outlined while detailing the legal options for disputing fines or nominating drivers.

It outlines the responsibilities of juristic persons /operators and the curriculum for driver rehabilitation programmes designed for those with cancelled licences.

Furthermore, it offers critical advice for corporate entities, emphasizing the need to appoint proxies, maintain logbooks, and update internal disciplinary policies to manage liability.
