We will teach you everything about manufacturing Modern Design Ottoman and Basic Sewing of the velvet fabric used to finish off the ottoman.

We will cover manufacturing from scratch, the type of wood, nails, type of fabric, powetools to use, we will also cover how to use a sewing machine and how to sew.

Ari Design and Furniture Academy

Ari Design and Furniture Academy Presents Basic Cabinet Building & Installation Course. This short course will be running for 2 weeks in Pretoria for groups and individuals private session.

This course is for beginner students who have no previous experience with woodwork tools and/or technical background with power tools.

The course is based on using melamine chipboard & other sheet material boards that are commonly used for bathroom, kitchen and bedroom cabinet building and installation.

The course was designed to help students better understand the basic cabinet standards and processes in South Africa. Ultimately we aim for our students to confidently design, build and install cupboards, either as DIY projects or be in a better position to start their own businesses.

During the course, students build a bathroom,kitchen and bedroom cabinet unit to take home. This unit contains almost all of the elements commonly found during a typical build.

A list of essential tools is also provided during the course itself. Students do not need to bring anything with them.
There is also an emphasis on the use of computer software when designing cabinets, as well as using the software to produce cutting lists.

Our aim is to put students in a position where they will be able, with some practice, to build both kitchen and bedroom cabinet on their own.

The cost of this course is R 10 500 per person inclusive of all materials and the use of any tools needed. There is a 50% booking deposit required to confirm your spot on this course.
