Lot to do and train.

It is a long road for someone to become a prepared and qualified personal security professional. This is not a training, a training and then someone becomes an all-knowing, all-ready professional. This is not true. Many people believe this. This is a continuous learning process. It never ends. You always have to learn new and new knowledge.

Many people say after a training that they are bodyguards. However, they are still very far from this. For someone to become a prepared personal security professional, it takes many years of continuous training and experience, work. And even then we do not know everything. This is a never-ending learning and experience process.

Civilian life, military life? What is the difference? What is the difference between a military training and a civilian training?

The answer is, many things, almost everything is different. For applicants with a military and law enforcement background, such a training is completely new and unusual in many ways. And not only the training, but also the work. It is completely different from what they learned in the professional ranks. The use of weapons, communication, rights and opportunities are also completely different.

Many letters and messages start like this… “after more than 10 years of military and law enforcement experience, I want to work in personal protection, I am trained for everything, I know everything, I have a lot of experience…” in such cases, we can’t really say much. Only that the military and commanding past is completely different from the civilian sector. This has to be learned, almost from scratch. After all, the rules, procedures and opportunities are completely different. Even in dangerous areas such as Iraq or in its grave. You don’t go there to be a soldier and not to “shoot”. Those working in that area know this. There is no army behind you, no legal protection, no reinforcements. We are alone. And we must prepare for that. Our primary weapon is not the gun, but our mind. And we must prepare for that too.
