💦 Why do we use armbands? 💦

Armbands are not just a float — they are a teaching tool.

They are the only swimming aid that allows a child to be placed into the perfect swimming position in the water:
✔️ Body flat and horizontal
✔️ Hips and legs up
✔️ Free movement of arms and legs

This position is essential for learning how to swim properly and safely. It helps children develop:
• correct kicking
• proper arm movement
• breathing control
• confidence in the water

As you can see in this video, armbands support the body without forcing a child into an upright position like other swimming aids do. This means they are learning to swim, not just float.

Our goal is always independence and water safety – armbands are simply one of the tools we use to get there 💙

Today we celebrated a beautiful end-of-year farewell with our incredible teacher assistants — and what a milestone it was! 🌊💙

This year, they didn’t just support our little swimmers… they became swimmers themselves. Each one faced their fears, learned new skills, and proved that courage grows when you step into the water.

We are so proud of their dedication, their growth, and the way they lead by example. Here’s to confidence, perseverance, and the amazing journey ahead! ✨🌟

This past week was all about BOAT RACES — one of our favourite activities of the year!! Not only is it loads of fun, but it also teaches our little swimmers the basics of rowing, coordination, confidence in the water, and how to move their bodies with purpose and control.

Rowing activities help children understand water movement, helps with balance, builds upper-body strength, and develops rhythm — all important foundations for becoming strong, safe swimmers.

Watching their smiles, teamwork, and determination has been the highlight of our week!

💙 From tiny splashes to confident strokes 💦

Little Alora-Grace started her swimming journey with us at just 6 weeks old, and now—almost 3 years later—she’s grown into the most joyful, fearless little swimmer! 🐠

As she and her family embark on a new adventure abroad, our hearts are full of love and pride. Watching her grow both in and out of the water has been such a privilege. 🌊
