Dear Parents,
As we will be opening tomorrow please be advised that:
1) Do not bring stationery on the first day.
2) Day 1 is mainly registration and administration.
2) Parents will *not* be allowed to enter into the school premises for health reasons.
3) The whole of this week school starts at 07h30 and ends at 1300 hours.
4) On first day learners should bring pen/ pencil to write.
5) Refer to the rotational timetable given to you.
6) All learners should be on mask.

According to the Government notice 18 of 2021 realesed on 22 January 2021 by the Minister of Basic Education Independent schools have been permitted to open as from Monday 1 February 2021.
Based on this statement we are pleased to inform all parents that Lakewood College of SA will be opening on Monday 1 February 2021.
As previously announced our timetable will be as follows:
*Monday 1 February*
Grade 1,3,5,7,8 and 9 should attend.
*Tuesday 2 February*
Grades R, 2,4,6,8 and 9 should attend.
*Wed 3 February*
Grades 1,3,5,7,8 and 9 should attend.
*Thurs 4 February*

1) *OPENING OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION OFFICE*.
The administration office will be officially opening on Monday 11January 2021. The office will be starting the registration process for all learners as from 0800.
2) *OPENING OF THE SCHOOL*.
The school will officially open on Monday 18 January 2021 at 0730hrs.
3) *SCHOOL TIMETABLE*
Due to the covid19 regulations. The school will continue with the rotation time table to ensure that we are compliant with the covid19 regulations and ensure the safety of our learners. Parents are advised that on the 18th not all grades will be attending school. To ensure the safety of learners the following grades will be attending on the stated dates.
*Monday 18January 2021* grades 1,3,5,7,8 and 9 are expected to come.
*Tuesday 19January 2021* grades R,2,4,6 and 8/9 are expected to come.

Registration for 2021 opens on the 1st of October💃

Dear Parents/Guardians
This communication serves to remind you of our dates of opening the school and the arrangements that the school has done.
The school will resume lessons on 18 August for Grades 1,3,5 and 6.
19 August it will be Grades R, 2,4
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.
As from term 3 our grades 6 will now be coming on rotational basis with Grades 1,3,5, and 6.
A revised timetable for attending lessons will be issued on Tuesday 18 August.
Grades 7 will not be affected and as a result they are expected to be at school every day of the week.

School Fees. The office will open as from
Monday 17 August from 0800 hours
Parents this term has assessments from the department. It is very important for all the learners to do these assessments because they have a bearing on the end of year results. May absenteeism be minimal because our terms have less learning days.
Parents are advised that social distancing will be maintained and we should not be seen compromising the standards. Any learner who is sick should not be sent to school

Tuesday Grades 1, 3, 5
Wednesday Grades R,2 and 4
NB. Wednesday will be our closing day
REPORTS
Collection of reports will be as follows so as to avoid congestion

Collection of reports will be from 08:30- 13:00.
We also advise parents that next week learners should come in their civic.

Dear Parents and Guardians.
Further the announcement by the President that public schools will be closed for the next four weeks, independent (private) Schools are permitted to continue schooling.
As a result Lakewood College of SA will not be closing. We will continue with School up to 6 August when we will take a break and open on 18 August.
We will remain wholly dedicated to upholding our health and safety protocols.
* Term 2 ends on 6 August
* Term 3 commences on 18 August.

According to the communication to the Independent schools and signed by the minister those schools that comply and have completed application for Deviation by Independent schools are allowed to phase in other grades. As a school we have followed all procedures and complied with the department requirements.
In our decision to phase in these grades we have first put in the best interest of the learners and staff especially the safety and protection of their lives.
