This week we want to focus on putting the trust back into our own hands, trusting, believing and loving ourselves fully.

Trust

This weekend some of our Duxla members had the privilege of spending time with some remarkable teens. Here we had the opportunity to discus some of our greatest fears, points of anxiety and possibly the greatest hurdle most leaders face - Body Positivity.

In order to be a leader one must be able to trust others, above all, one must be able to trust yourself, no matter the shape you may be in. For it is not the voice, the background or the "look" a leader has, but the confidence he/she carries.

At Duxla we aim to tackle this hurdle together, because we too, have (some times still) struggled with and understand this.

Vertroue

Hierdie naweek het van ons Duxla-lede die voorreg gehad om tyd saam met 'n paar merkwaardige tieners deur te bring. Hier het ons die geleentheid gehad om van ons grootste vrese, angspunte en moontlik die grootste struikelblok wat die meeste leiers in die gesig staar, te bespreek - Liggaampositiwiteit.

Om 'n leier te wees moet 'n mens ander kan vertrou, bowenal moet 'n mens jouself kan vertrou, ongeag die vorm waarin jy mag wees. Want dit is nie die stem, die agtergrond of die "look" 'n leier het, maar die selfvertroue wat hy/sy dra.

By Duxla poog ons om hierdie struikelblok saam aan te pak, want ons het ook (soms steeds) daarmee gesukkel en verstaan dit.

Our next mentor an inspiration of what being a God-fearing wife is, a dedicated friend and an all in all "good feel person" is.
Marijke van der Merwe has been part of the Duxla dream since the very beginning. She has a passion for young women finding their purpose and leads those around her with that same drive.

Maandag Mentorskap

Ons volgende mentor is 'n inspirasie van wat dit is om 'n Godvresende vrou te wees, 'n toegewyde vriendin en in geheel "goedvoel persoon".
Marijke van der Merwe is van die begin af deel van die Duxla-droom. Sy het 'n passie vir jong vroue, om hul doel te vind en lei diegene rondom haar met dieselfde dryf.

Elrise de K**k is a dynamic young woman. She is a genetic specialist and has subsequently started her own company, Ella Genetics.
Elrise is the epitome of kindness, warmth and a leader that will leave you feeling enriched and called for a greater purpose.

Die doel van 'n Duxla-mentor is om eendersdenkende jong leiers met huidige leiers in hul industrieë, gemeenskappe en huise te verbind. Dit is ook die mentors wat jy op ons eerste Duxla Leierskapkamp 24-27 Junie 2022 sal sien.
