To render child education and care services through our Kungwini Early Childhood Development Centre
Operating as usual
Let's learn and play with shapes.
There can be no greater power than the imagination of a child.
On Thursdays we dance!!!
A positive mind will always lead to a positive lifestyle.
We are still lost for words on the amazing task done by the team from Nedbanks head office for the children of Kungwini Early Childhood Development Centre.
The team came through on Mandela Day to give the playground a new look, getting to work with a fresh tin of paint, they had the playground looking brand new.
We thank you tremendously, the children are having more fun now than ever.
No matter your background, you are meant to be bigger than you think.
While riding a train we sing "the wheels on the bus".
It's a case of show and tell, we showing off our best artwork, we have nature and we have animals.
Here's a peek at some work being done this week.
Allow the children to explore, allow the children to experience the good and the bad, it builds character.
This is not only for children but also for the child inside you.
Learning and understanding are crucial from a young age, the baby class at the Centre practices this daily, as you can see them making their own artwork to show their abilities.
It's a birthday party, we have cake, we have cooldrink and we have smiles all around.
There is more to life than the future, there is the 'now' as well.
We play around with paint and macaroni to create beautiful sunflowers.
Learning can be fun...always.
Dance of the day...
It's all about learning different occupations.
What do Doctors use in their jobs?
What do Chefs use in their jobs?
What do Plumbers use in their jobs?
The kids are learning about what different people can do for work and what their required tool/s would be.

Creating animals with play dough always guarantees to put a smile on the little ones' faces.
Equip a child today, watch them conquer tomorrow!

This week the children focused on learning about road safety, along with the signs and signals.
The children were happy to show off the robots that they created ending a week of insightful learning.
Happily singing..."We put our left foot in, then put your right foot in...and then you shake it all around..."
In this life, we all have work, whether your work is play or work work...it is all very serious work.
A huge Thank you to our anonymous donours for the blankets.
With winter getting closer, now each child has their own blanket to keep warm.

Our History
From Early Learning Centre…..
The Kungwini Early Learning Centre was started in 2000 Boschkop. The school classrooms were containers. We started with 15 children, from the rural areas, which increased to 94 children by the end of 2001. The children were between the ages 2- 6 years. With the help of Mopanie Hostel from the University of Pretoria and Sasol, we erected precast buildings The official move from the containers to our own building took place on the 24th of February 2003. After 12 years of delivering services to the children Early Learning Centre, had to terminate the project due to lack of transport for the children.
In 2008, we saw the huge need for an Early Learning Centre in our direct area, we opened our Zwavelpoort centre. In 2017, our centre moved to the front of our premises into steel containers. This has given the centre more space for the children to play & grow.
In late 2018 the Lethabong Early Learning Centre continued operating independently and no longer under the auspices of KWO. KWO continued operating the Zwavelpoort centre. In January 2019 our named change to Kungwini Early Childhood Development Centre. We had 31 pre-school going children from our community. We have 4 container classrooms, an office and bathroom.
