Creativethinkerz - Pty Ltd We offer youth orientated skills development programmes, accredited and non accredited environmental Creativethinkerz (Pty). Morongwa Madonsela, Ms. Karabo Maja.

ltd is a black owned private company founded in 2019 by Ms. Lesego Khunou, and Ms. The company is established as a social entrepreneur business with the aim to bring together youth to participate in environmental awareness programs focusing on climate change and also youth orientated skills training/skill development programmes. We also want to create opportunities for skills development and train

ing and ensure that we work together with youth to eradicate the struggle of employment and also of getting access to good quality education after their matric. We aim at targeting youth in rural areas as we have realized that there is lack of environmental awareness initiatives in rural areas and also lack of skills development programmes for our youth in rural areas, what motivated us most as young people who also comes in rural areas is that there are a lot of matriculated youth who spend years after completing their matric by doing nothing at home so our initiative want to reduce the number of youth who don’t get the opportunity to study further by instilling knowledge and skills that will better their standard of living by also alleviating poverty.

Today we are celebrating the World Environment Day 2022.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2022:
The environment is our natural surroundings, including plant, animal and non-living objects across the land, water bodies and skies that support life on this planet. Beginning with the Industrial Revolution in the late 18th century, human actions have caused widespread environmental damage, such as global warming, pollution of air, water and land and biodiversity loss. World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 annually to highlight these dangers to our natural world and to urge people to protect it.

World Environment Day: History
World Environment Day has its origin in 1972, at the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, held in Stockholm. The conference began on June 5 and continued till June 16.

World Environment Day 2022: Theme
The theme for this year’s celebration of World Environment Day is ‘Only One Earth.’ This was also the slogan for the 1972 conference at Stockholm which led to the birth of the annual global event on June 5.

The theme underscores the fact that out of all the galaxies, star systems and planets known, only Earth sustains life. Since human actions are causing irreversible damage to our environment, there is an urgent need to minimise or prevent further damage to our biosphere.

Greenhouse gas emissions due to human activity are raising global temperatures to unsafe levels. Extreme weather events are occurring which might displace countless people and devastate our flora and fauna. Pollution from factories, plastic wastes, deforestation is killing animals on land and seas.

World Environment Day highlights the urgent need to take corrective measures to safeguard our environment and we can all make the difference this includde governments, schools, businesses and celebrities, to urge the adoption of such corrective measures.

Today we draw attention and inspiration from primary school learners, learning about our programme.

Spot on to our grade 4 & 5 learners.

As Creativethinkerz we are proud to say learners are conscious and consistent about social distance, wearing mask and hygiene.

Dispite Covid-19 which affected classroom learning environment we are still not in dispair.
instead we want to share more information about awareness with our communities and school to ensure that we protect and instill sustainability mindset everywhere we go!🥰🥰🥰
