Senior Certificate (Grade 12/ Matric)
RECOMMENDATIONS
Relevant experience will be an advantage
Recognised and appropriate qualification in Financial Management will be an advantage.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Financial functions/ Ability to analyse, compare and interpret facts and figures
Capturing of data
Computer Literacy and a strong aptitude for numbers
Collate financial statistics.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to organise and plan workload.
Basic knowledge and insight of Public Service financial legislations, procedures and Treasury
regulations (PFMA, DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, financial manual)
Basic financial operating systems (PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS, etc.)
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Render financial accounting transactions
Receive invoices, check invoices for correctness, verification and approval, capturing
commitments, journals, receipts debts & payments on BAS, filling and safekeeping of financial
documents.
Perform booking support services
Clearing suspense accounts, record debtors and creditors on register, provide revenue
support services, journal processing, compile accruals and commitment schedule.
Render budget support services
Draw expenditure and detail reports, analyse reports and identify variances, maintain file for
HIV/AIDS budget, handling queries regarding financial transactions.
Vouchers control management
Request and print document control and disbursement report, ensure monthly submission of
batches to voucher control, balancing and reconciliation statement for petty cash account.
Expenditure management support
Completion of allocations on non-stock requisitions, order payments and turnaround time’s
forms, fruitless and wasteful expenditure report, journal processing, compile accruals and
commitment schedule
