The Manim Python Animations Library is an extremely simple and easy-to-use animation "framework" that has been built around python for having powerful symbolic & mathematical expressive capabilities. Many *real world* instances/applications for physical reality can be modelled graphically/analytically/statistically using techniques from python's programmatic & mathematical features combined with graphing tools & a small graphix card for rendering projects.
Researchers use powerful techniques to simulate their results. It can sometimes be challenging for analysts/physicists/engineers/mathematicians/computer-scientists & other related fields to determine the correct parameters or variables whereby to model certain yet-to-be-discovered results.
The idea is to write code to simulate/emulate/deduce interesting results/theories by using animations/motion/automation/to try and predict what may happen in "a system"/"environment".
You may have heard of the concept in Physics called or defined as **a Closed System**
What is meant by **a Closed System** is basically "an environment" or "container ("if you will")" in which energies (Kinetic, Potential & possibly others/more ... ) are "in stable equilibrium ("with one another").
Such an "environment" or system is also often referred to or characterized as a "nearly-perpetual machine"
You may sometimes wonder **WHY** scientists care about working in these abstract spaces, but the reason is quite simple - we have more power over mathematical objects and we benefit insight by taking advantage of automation & simulation modelling to predict results for determining outcome.
This is called modelling or simulation of processes. Physics often uses mathematics to express it's ideas in a symbolic way, often to simulate the movement of objects or to optimize requirements/constraints/results based on certain problem specifications. Some elementary examples include
(0) A Pendulum System such as a Clock
(1) Chaotic System such as a double Pendulum System.
(2) . . .
The list goes on - Just look around you and try to imagine any physical system which can be modelled using symbolic/mathematic/programmatic/statistic techniques and you will soon realize that it is quite possible in many cases.
By using abstract mathematical symbolism combined with programming and other techniques, we can simulate real world problems and try to come up with an exact or accurate interpretation of problems.
Usually, it is the easy stuff that people struggle with, which often prevents our progress, so Lambdadot Joburg thought it be a good idea to show it's audience how to actually get started.
