BabyGym was developed in 2003 by Melodie de Jager, a South African author and developmental specialist. Over the past 23 years, we have published several more books, developed additional curricula, and collectively worked with more than 35,000 clients.

In a nutshell, we love what we do soooo much that the energy to continue this work just keeps coming!

We are passionate about neuroscience and instinctive parenting, and we believe that much of what we are uncovering and learning to appreciate has, in fact, been there all along—since forever, really.

At the heart of BabyGym is our dedicated team of 37 BabyGym Instructors across South Africa and Namibia.

These highly trained professionals bring BabyGym to life every day, translating research and principles into meaningful experiences for babies and their parents.

Since BabyGym was established in 2003, more than 35,000 babies and their parents have experienced BabyGym through the care, expertise, and commitment of our Instructors.

All BabyGym Instructors are trained at the BabyGym Training Studio in leafy Linden, Johannesburg, where we invest in developing the knowledge, skill, and heart that make our Instructors such a special and essential part of the BabyGym family.
