Dear Parents and Guardians
Important notice! With immediate effect,
Sir Tema, Sir Thato, and Sir Somela are FIRED

up for the 4th of September 2026 Spring Fun Day in collaboration with Rethabishabana Events .
Let us note the following.

*1. PAYMENT - R60*
Parents who have not yet paid, you can still pay *R60 until Friday morning*. Please send the money with your child. We would love for all our learners to take part.

*2. WHAT DOES THE R60 INCLUDE?*
For learners who have already paid, please note that the R60 includes *ALL activities* for the day:
- Jumping castles
- Swimming pools
- Trampoline
- Singing and dancing with mascots (their favourite cartoon characters!)

*3. FOOD WILL BE SOLD*
Food will be sold on the day, so you may send extra money with your child if they wish to buy.

*4. WHAT TO WEAR ON FRIDAY (FOR THOSE WHO PAID)*
Learners should *NOT bring books* and *NOT wear school uniform*.
They should wear *home clothes / casual clothes that you don't mind getting wet and with colour powder*, as it will be a full, fun-filled day.

*5. FOR LEARNERS WHO HAVE NOT PAID*
It will be a *normal school day* for those who have not paid. They are requested to be present at school in *full school uniform* and bring their *school books* as they will be attended to with normal school activities.

*6. KNOCK-OFF TIME*
Please note that the *school will knock off at 12:00pm* for ALL learners.

We would really appreciate it if all learners can participate and celebrate the arrival of Spring together.

Let us bid farewell to Winter and welcome Spring with a splash! Mokopane Primary School presents Rethabishabana Events on the 4th of September 2026. Learners are to pay R60 for this event to their register teacher on or before the 2nd of September 2026. NB. Only Mokopane Primary School learners can participate. Keep following for more updates. Subject: Message from the Principal

Thank you all for the warm welcome from everyone, it is really appreciated. For me personally it has come full circle because I started here at this institution formally known a Laerskool Potgietersrus in 1993 temporarily and then in permanent from 1995 to 2013 when I became Principal at a school in Roedtan.

My deliberations with stakeholders so far show there is a lot that needs fixing at the school and we as management will start tackling it bit by bit and hopefully you as our parents as well as the community will slowly start seeing that we are moving in the correct direction.

As parents we will bank on your loyalty and commitment to make this school, where your child is schooling, better and that you can play an individual as well as a collective role in making the environment that your child spends a considerable amount of time being educated a safe and conducive to learning environment.

This can only be achieved if you as parent honour your financial commitment as well as your availability when we organise fundraiser to volunteer to come and help. This is where educator and parent start to know and appreciate each other.

Imagine what tight knit community can be form when educators and parents work together to make a school become a force to be reckoned with.
