Private School History:
This grand Edwardian manor was erected in 1909. The manor was constructed during the reign of King Edward V11 of the United Kingdom.
It was located in King Edward Avenue, later named Church Avenue and currently named Walter Sisulu Avenue. It was the residence of Dr. Allen Boyd who emigrated from the United Kingdom. He was a respected and well-loved District Surgeon. The house was later used as a maternity hospital, girl’s hostel, music school and boarding house. The King Edward Preschool is open since 6 January 2015.

In collaboration with Rotary Potch Mooi Club, we are celebrating the life of a truly inspiring man. In recognition of him, we are spending 67 days, collecting products, packing soup jars, and distributing "JARS of HOPE" to people in need.
Our aim is to distribute 6,700 meals in his honour.

King Edward Preschool has adopted a "learn through play" approach for teaching important life skills such as problem solving, fine and gross motor skills, cooperation as well as verbal and non verbal skills.
While our focus is on quality education and individual attention, we have the most fun doing it!
2025 registration is now open from 1 years to Grade 3.
