From Potch Boys High, McGill Alexander built the foundations of discipline, leadership and service that defined his life. A proud Old Boy, he went on to lead SA’s elite 44 Parachute Brigade, serve across Africa, and survive a 1997 Taipei hostage crisis—later captured in his book Hostage in Taipei. A true embodiment of Potch Boys character. We once asked the question who served in the military and retired with which rank. Hopefully some day we could do a whole series on this subject.
