As we reflect on Day 1 of the DBE and Technical Subjects Teachers’ visit to KYB Academy, we extend a warm welcome to educators from various provinces who have joined us for this week of advanced training and skills enhancement.

The day set a strong foundation, marked by orientation and integration sessions, as well as the distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe and professional training environment. It was encouraging to engage with passionate educators who play a vital role in shaping the future of technical and vocational education in South Africa.

We look forward to a week of meaningful collaboration, knowledge sharing, and practical skills development as we work together to strengthen teaching excellence and industry alignment.

Not all learners will be accommodated by universities, but this does not mark the end of their academic or professional journey. Skills-based education provides a credible, respected, and practical pathway into the world of work.
