It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved school secretary, Ms. Yulenda Mogapi, who passed away.

Ms. Mogapi was a valued member of the Potchefstroom Central School family and served our learners, parents and staff with dedication, kindness and care. Her warm spirit and gentle presence will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working with her. We keep her family, friends and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Further information regarding memorial arrangements will be communicated in due course, should the family permit us to share them.

From the Potchefstroom Central School family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to all who are affected by this loss.

|| Motto of the Week ||

Sometimes we all go through hard things at school, in sport or in life. But remember — it’s not the problem that matters most, it’s how we choose to react to it.

Be brave. Be kind. Keep trying, even when things feel difficult. You are stronger than you think!

|| Career Day ||

Today our Grade 7 learners had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite careers or the professions they dream of pursuing one day.

We were privileged to welcome four guest speakers from various career fields who shared valuable insight into their professions and inspired our learners to work towards their future goals and dreams.

A special thank you to the police officers who also popped in to speak to the Grade 7s and motivate them.

We would like to sincerely thank Prof. Square, Lieutenant Dakalo, Mr.Carrim and Mrs.Chamboko for taking the time to share their passion and experiences with our learners. Your willingness to inspire the next generation is truly appreciated.

|| Special Events ||

Potchefstroom Central School had an exciting and educational visit from the South African Police Service today!

Our Foundation Phase learners had the wonderful opportunity to learn more about the Police Dog and Canine Unit, as well as the Mounted Horse Unit, and see first-hand how these specially trained animals assist the police in serving and protecting our communities.

The learners also enjoyed informative talks from the police women and men, who shared valuable lessons about safety, respect, responsibility and the important role the SAPS plays in our daily lives.

To make the experience even more memorable, learners had the opportunity to wear handcuffs, try on a bulletproof vest, and climb into the back of a police bakkie — an experience they will definitely not forget anytime soon!

The demonstrations, interaction and educational talks made for a truly special day filled with excitement, laughter and learning.

A big thank you to the South African Police Service for visiting our school and investing time in educating and inspiring our learners.
