💥 A Toppling Success: Building Memories & Community Spirit!

What started as a simple fundraising initiative turned into an incredible morning filled with teamwork, creativity, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Our Marsec Interact team stepped up to the challenge by raising sponsorships at R10 per domino. Each team received their allocated dominoes based on their chosen color sequence, designed their own unique patterns, assembled their crews, and eagerly awaited the much-anticipated Topple Day which took place on the 27th of June at our school hall.

This is where weeks of planning came to life. Each team carefully constructed their masterpieces before the exciting moment arrived—watching every domino fall in sequence. Some fell perfectly on the first try, while others just needed a gentle, extra nudge or two! The atmosphere was absolutely electric, filled with vibrant team spirit, mutual encouragement, and plenty of cheers.

Team Marsec has raised the highest sponsorship in the entire Rotary District 9370 earning an impressive, massive haul of almost 2,500 dominoes to build with!

An event of this scale takes a village, and we are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who made it possible:

Marburg Secondary School is incredibly proud of Ethan Godden and Kerwin Subramoney, who proudly represented both our school and the UGU District at the KZN U17 Volleyball Selections held in Durban this past weekend.

The boys displayed outstanding talent, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the selection process, while gaining valuable experience that will undoubtedly benefit them in future volleyball opportunities and selections.

Being selected to represent the district is a remarkable achievement and a testament to their hard work and dedication to the sport.

Well done, Ethan and Kerwin!

Inspiring Visit Promotes Respect, Discipline and Leadership at Marburg Secondary School

As part of our May theme of Respect and Discipline, our school was honoured to host a powerful presentation by Darion Langenhoven, contestant for Mr South Africa 2026, entrepreneur, and government-endorsed community leader.
Darion is using his platform to create awareness and inspire positive change amongst young people, with a strong focus on discipline, leadership, and standing against gender-based violence.

He was joined by Cynthia Dumakude, Miss Transcontinental 2025 and Miss Bold 2024, and Rochelle Robettze, Counselor and 2nd Princess of Mrs Curve South Africa 2026.

The guests delivered an engaging and motivational session that resonated deeply with our learners.
Their message went beyond inspiration, encouraging every learner to understand the importance of respect, self-discipline, standing against gender-based violence and bullying, and taking up leadership roles within their schools and communities.

Our learners thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and had much to gain from the real-world insights and passion shared by the guests. The atmosphere was one of attentiveness, reflection, and motivation.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Darion for taking the initiative to bring this important message to our school and for involving us in his outreach.

Your commitment to empowering the youth and building safer, stronger communities does not go unnoticed.

A reminder of the Parent-Teacher Consultion Meeting scheduled for this Saturday

Marburg Secondary crowned champions once again.

Marburg Secondary School dominated the 2nd schools volleyball tournament held at the Marburg Sports complex last Saturday. The school won the boys and girls under 16 divisions and finished second in the boys over 16 division. This was enough to be crowned overall high school champions.
The under 16 girls captained by Asia Lee Gamble, went undefeated throughout the tournament with a straight sets win against Port Shepstone Secondary in the final. Boys under 16 captain Kerwin Soobramoney led his team in an unbeaten run by beating Sheppie Secondary boys in the final. Unfortunately the over 16 boys lost to Port Shepstone High school in the final.
