The Capstone School

The Capstone School The Capstone School education philosophy is rooted in Christian values.

The Capstone School is an independent progressive school, situated on two campuses in park-like settings in the heart of the city where our pupils can fish, explore and tend to their vegetable gardens. Class sizes are small which allow teachers to recognise the unique needs and strengths of each child. We follow the National Curriculum with a Reggio Emilia inspired teaching philosophy

Our pupils are encouraged to observe, to question and to think deeply. Our teachers create environments that stimulate extended exploration, problem solving, cooperation and debate. We nurture the emotional and self-esteem needs of our pupils and teach them to be good friends. Children progress at an individualized pace and are assessed on a continuous basis in a non-intrusive manner. At The Capstone School we create a home away from home where children are happy, are loved and enjoy learning.

🎓 Grade 7 Takeover Day! 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫
Last Tuesday, our Grade 7 learners took over the school, stepping into the roles of teachers and even Principal for the day!
They confidently ran assembly and delivered an amazing variety of lessons to the Primary School. Meanwhile, our real teachers became the learners… and let’s just say, they weren’t exactly on their best behaviour! 😜 There may have been a few trips to the Principal’s office — should we be calling their parents? 😂
A huge thank you to Teacher Jade for organising such a memorable day, and to our phenomenal Grade 7 learners for the care, creativity and confidence they showed in preparing and presenting their lessons.
What a jam-packed day of learning, leading and having fun! And we’re sure they were more than ready for their end of Term 3 holiday afterwards! 🌟

Today we celebrated the wonderful diversity of Heritage Day at Capstone! 🇿🇦✨
It was a fun-filled celebration of our cultures, traditions and the things that make our community so special. Our classes shared a delicious array of heritage food delights, bringing everyone together through food, laughter and shared experiences. 🌍🍲
