Saarmste Welcome to the OFFICIAL page of the Southern African Association for Research in Mathematics, Scienc

SAARMSTE is about fostering a sense of community among researchers in Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (MSTE); seeking representation in relevant MSTE policy-making bodies; assisting in the development of research skills and developing further expertise in the MSTE field by means of workshops, short courses and exchange visits and building an open forum for debate encompassing different MSTE research paradigms, culminating in the organization of conferences as a platform for the results of MSTE research. Finally SAARMSTE provides avenues for local publication of the findings of research in MSTE.

Notice to SAARMSTE community, the abstract submission deadline for the 2027 conference has been postponed to July 7th. Submissions are now open.

The annual Post-Conference Writing Clinic is aimed at developing draft manuscripts and/or short papers into articles for journal submission.
