A proud moment for Westering! 🇬🇧🏏💙💛

A huge congratulations to Caleb Booysen, who has been selected for a 7-day Invitational Cricket Tour to the UK during the June/July holidays! ⭐

Being selected by the tournament selectors is an incredible achievement and a wonderful opportunity to take his cricket to the next level.

Well done, Caleb! We are incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see where this opportunity takes you! 👏🏏🇬🇧💙💛

The U14A boys faced a tough start against Paarl Gim, but showed great determination to keep fighting right until the end. 💪🏾

With little time to recover, the boys went straight into their next game against the Kwagga Invitational team and bounced back with a 22-run victory! 🔥🏏 Kayden Dickson stepped up with a quick 28 off 29 balls, while Yaseen Hart, Ovayo Mphala and Caleb Booysen made valuable contributions with the ball.

A special congratulations to Yaseen Hart, who was named our most consistent player of the tournament! ⭐️

Although the final decider was unfortunately cancelled due to rain, the boys can be incredibly proud of what they achieved and the lessons they take away from the tournament.

Well played, boys! Keep working, keep learning and keep building towards the season ahead! 💙💛🏏

Our learners continue to show that making a difference starts with simply showing up. 💙💛

Over the past two Saturdays, more than 70 Westering learners volunteered their time to support local animal welfare organisations - raising R6,990 for the Animal Anti-Cruelty League on 26 September, followed by another collection for Save-a-Pet on 3 October.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and to every learner who gave their time to lend a helping hand. 🐾

These organisations rely on community support, and we’re proud to see our Westering family stepping up and playing its part. 💙💛

A tough outing for our U14A boys at the Kwagga T20 Krieketweek, as they took on the Paarl Gim O15B side at Hoërskool Outeniqua.

Batting first, Westering posted 69/8 from our 20 overs, with Damian van der Merwe top-scoring with 18 and Yaseen Hart adding 11. Paarl Gim chased down the total in 12 overs to take the win by 10 wickets.

There were, however, plenty of positives to take from the day. In hot, dry and windy George conditions, the boys conceded just 11 extras, a big step forward in discipline.

With the ball, Msawenkosi Sikosana led the way with a tidy spell, conceding just 7 runs.

The boys now move into the Bowl competition, with more silverware still up for grabs. 🏏 Keep those fingers crossed! 🤞

🏏 U14A Cricket | Kwagga T20 Krieketweek

Our U14A boys stepped up an age group at the Kwagga T20 Krieketweek, taking on the Hoërskool Hermanus U15A side at Hoërskool Outeniqua.

Batting first, the boys put 98/9 on the board from their 15 overs. Creighton Martin led the way with 25, while Yaseen Hart added 13. With the ball, Caleb Booysen impressed with figures of 1/6.

Hoërskool Hermanus chased down the target in the 13th over to claim a five-wicket win, but our boys showed plenty of fight throughout the contest and were very much in the game against a bigger, stronger U15A side.

A valuable experience for the team, with plenty to take forward and build on as the season continues.

Keep pushing, U14A. 🏏💙

From some hard-fought matches to some fantastic wins, our teams have given it their all on the field. The U15 team made it 4 wins from 4, continuing their brilliant run and showing just what this team is made of.

Well done to all our players and coaches. Let’s keep this momentum going, we look forward to seeing what the upcoming games bring! 💙💛🏏

This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the passion, dedication and commitment he continues to show in developing young rugby players.

We’re incredibly proud to have Mr Pango as part of the Westering family and wish him all the best as he takes on this exciting opportunity with Eastern Province Rugby.

Well done, Coach Pango! 👏
