Our Grade R class enjoyed their outing to Bayworld this morning. We got to gently touch the python and he was so ticklish on his tummy!🐍

We have had a fabulous outing today. Algoa bus fetched us from school and took us on a looooooong ride all the way to Laughing Logs Forest in Colleen Glen. We played as pirates on boats and we baked mud cakes. We played Jenga with our teacher and Ludo with our friends. We loved the high swings and jumping on the trampolines. And of course we cried when it was time to leave! Our bus driver had a peaceful drive back to school as we all fell asleep very quickly after a glorious morning out in the warm sun and fresh Autumn air. See you soon again Laughing Logs Forest! We have been hosting our Family Picnic Sports Day at Victoria Park Gardens for a few years now. It's a lovely setting, especially with Autumn creeping up on us. The children ran their races with such energy and enthusiasm that the bad weather had to hold off a little longer. Parents ran races with just as much vigor and then the heavens opened!
We did the raffle lucky draws as quickly as we could whilst soaking up the rain!😱😂 Congratulations to all who won prizes and THANK YOU to everyone who braved the weather and enjoyed the fun morning with us.🏃☔

A peep inside our classrooms - just a few of the items we use for everyday learning through play. We enjoy special days like Valentine's Day where we dress up and take photos. Our Make 'n Bake Valentine's Day activity was to make short bread biscuits from scratch and then to decorate them with icing sugar and sprinkles. They were so yummy that we've decided to make the biscuits again sometime soon! 🍪

Gross motor play, fine motor activities, imagination set free- we love our daily activities at school.

We have had such a busy and fun start to our year. We love building with blocks and making sure our baby dolls are happy in class. We also get very excited when the fairies come out to play at our new mini table set outside ! 🎉
