PB | The bell after the finish line of the Bestmed Madibaz Half-Marathon has particular significance for the particpants who earn the right to ring it.
It has become THE rite of passage for those who ran a personal best time at the annual event that starts and finishes at the Mandela University South Campus.

FINAL REMINDERS | We’re now just hours away from the start of tomorrow’s Bestmed Madibaz Half-Marathon and 10km and 5km races.
As the excitement builds, just a few points to note in case you didn’t get the memo.
Late entries are still being accepted but you’ll need to pay an additional R20 on top of the normal race fee of R180 for the 21.1km, R120 for the 10km and R50 for the 5km.
If you’re one of those late to the party, you can enter at race number collection in the Madibaz Indoor Centre from 4pm to 7pm today or from 5.30am to 6.45am tomorrow.
Also please keep in mind that if you don’t belong to a running club you’ll need to pay R50 for a temporary licence.
Last but not least, the half-marathon and 10km start at 7am on the dot while the 5km gets underway at 7.30am.
