🇿🇦 Celebrating Heritage Day at School! 🇿🇦
What a wonderful day of celebrating who we are, where we come from, and the beautiful diversity that makes South Africa so special! ❤️💚💙💛

From delicious roosterbrood and boerewors to proudly showing off our heritage attire, there was so much to enjoy. And of course, the excitement of watching South Africa take on New Zealand in rugby brought even more energy and school spirit to the day! 🏉🇿🇦

Even the cold weather couldn’t dampen our spirits! 🥶☀️ There was plenty of laughter, fun, good food and togetherness as we celebrated the different cultures and traditions that make each of us unique.

Most importantly, it was a beautiful reminder that while our heritage may be different, we can come together as one, embrace one another’s traditions, and celebrate what makes us proudly South African. 🇿🇦❤️

A truly memorable Heritage Day filled with unity, pride, laughter and lots of fun! 🎉

⭐ HERO AWARDS⭐

We recently celebrated the incredible heroes of Merryvale School by awarding them the Pick & Pay Hero Awards for their remarkable courage, selflessness, kindness, and respect.

We are incredibly proud of these young heroes and the positive influence they have on our school community.

A heartfelt thank you to Pick & Pay School Club and Pick & Pay Hypermarket for spoiling our learners with muffins and soil for gardening. Thank you for supporting our kids.

We would also like to thank Giving them wings foundation for donating spekboom trees for Arbor Day. Our boys truly enjoyed the experience of planting them.

Together, we’re building a brighter future! ✨️🏅

Junior Phase Bakersday👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
Our Junior Phase learners had a wonderful Bakersday at school yesterday!
The day started with an entertaining puppet show, followed by a fun and creative activity where our learners got to decorate their very own flapjacks. 🥞
They then enjoyed their delicious creations while playing and spending time outdoors with their friends. ☀️
It was a fun-filled day of creativity, laughter and tasty treats! We loved seeing our learners enjoying every moment. 🥰
