School’s out and the spring holiday is here!

Kammaland Lorraine wishes all our children, families and teachers a happy, safe and restful short holiday.

Geniet die ruskans, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for more fun and learning.

A quick reminder that holiday care will be available from 28 September to 5 October. Kids can look forward to fun activities, special theme days and an afternoon snack or pudding.

Spaces are filling up quickly, so please book soon to avoid disappointment.

Please note that Kammaland will be closed on 24 September for Heritage Day and on 25 October.

Klein roetines bring rustigheid.

Vir ’n jong kind kan ’n daaglikse oggendgroet, handewas voor ete, ’n storie vóór slaaptyd en ’n vriendelike totsiens help om die dag veilig en voorspelbaar (op 'n goeie manier) te laat voel.

Hou die roetine eenvoudig. Gebruik dieselfde woorde. Gee ’n kort waarskuwing wanneer iets gaan verander.

Roetines leer kinders wat volgende sal gebeur en help hulle om al hoe meer self te doen en natuurlik met meer selfvertroue.

A smile is a small thing that can make a very big difference.

Did you know that a smile activates around 10 to 12 muscles in the face? More importantly, smiling can help our bodies and minds feel calmer, happier and more connected. It may ease tension, lift our mood and even encourage those around us to smile too.

At school, a warm smile can help a child feel safe, seen and ready to learn. It is one of the simplest ways to share kindness every day.

Our advice is simply to smile when hitting that afternoon slump, smile when in doubt and smile only because it is contagious!

Aan ons vroue-onderwysers: dankie.

Agter elke nuwe woord, dapper probeerslag, mooi prent en legkaart wat uiteindelik pas, is daar ’n onderwyser wat geduldig aangemoedig het.

Vroeëkindonderwys gaan oor soveel meer as letters, syfers en kleure. Ons onderwysers help kinders om te deel, gevoelens te verstaan, probleme op te los en in hulself te glo.

Vandag eer ons die vroue wat elke dag met sorg, kennis en warmte voor ons kinders staan.

Ouers, los gerus ’n boodskap vir ’n onderwyser wat ’n verskil in jou kind se lewe maak.

Holiday care is almost here at Kammaland Lorraine!

From 28 September to 5 October, children can look forward to fun-filled mornings with activities such as painting, colouring-in competitions, abstract art and “boeresport”.

To make each day a little sweeter, the children will be treated to an afternoon snack or pudding.

Please note that Kammaland will be closed on Thursday 24 September for Heritage Day and on Friday 25 October.

Space for holiday care is limited, so please book early.

September is verjaarsdagmaand by Kammaland Lorraine.

Vanjaar vier ons 22 jaar sedert Tannie Gaby Kammaland in 2004 oorgeneem en haar kleuterskool en nasorgfamilies saamgebring het. Haar dogter, Michelle, het die leisels in 2017 oorgeneem.

Baie het oor die jare verander en gegroei, maar die hart van Kammaland bly dieselfde: om kinders met liefde te versorg, hulle nuuskierigheid aan te moedig en elke klein tree raak te sien.

Dankie aan elke ouer, kind, onderwyser en personeellid wie deel is van ons storie.
