Our founders, Clarette and Jeanine, will be speaking at the Paediatric Multidisciplinary Conference in Gqeberha this weekend.

The conference brings together 25 specialists over two days in Gqeberha โ€” audiologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, optometrists, and more, all in one place.

Bring the whole family โ€” there's a play area for the kids and food stalls on-site, so this isn't just a conference, it can be a day out too!

๐Ÿ“… 22โ€“23 August 2026, 08:30โ€“16:30
๐Ÿ“ Idyllic Falls, Gqeberha
๐Ÿ’ณ R150/day if you register and pay online before 20 August โ€” R200/day after that, or at the door

Last week Jacqueline provided Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) training for the wonderful teachers at The Coral Tree Playschool ๐ŸŒธ
Here is why equipping educators with AAC skills is non-negotiable: ๐Ÿงฉ It unlocks Learning. ๐Ÿง  It reduces frustration, meltdowns and anxiety. ๐Ÿค It builds true inclusion and relationships. ๐Ÿš€ It fosters Independence. AAC tools are only as powerful as the people trained to support them. Letโ€™s invest in our teachers so they can empower our learners! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ’› Introducing Our Yellow Class ๐Ÿ’›

Weโ€™re excited to introduce our newest class at Coral Tree!

Our Yellow Class has been created for children who are generally turning 4 or 5 years old and who are ready for a more formal learning environment while continuing to receive the individualised support that makes Coral Tree unique.

This class is ideal for children with lower support needs who thrive in smaller groups and benefit from:
โœ๏ธ A stronger focus on pre-academic skills
๐Ÿ“– Increased opportunities for independent learning
๐Ÿค Continued support for social and emotional growth
๐ŸŒŸ Individualised teaching that builds confidence and independence

The Yellow Class allows us to better meet the diverse needs of our learners by providing an environment that matches each childโ€™s developmental stage and learning profile.

At Coral Tree, there is no โ€œone-size-fits-allโ€ approach. Our classes are thoughtfully structured to ensure every child receives the right support, at the right time, in the right environment.

We canโ€™t wait to see our Yellow Class learners continue to blossom!

A big thank you to Candice from Yellow Educational Support for spending the morning with our team last Friday! ๐Ÿ’›

We had a wonderful morning connecting over our shared passion for special needs education, learning from one another and preparing for the term ahead! ๐Ÿชด

Thank you for sharing your experience, encouraging our teachers, and reminding us why we love what we do!

๐Ÿ’š Meet Our Green Class ๐Ÿ’š
Our Green Class is designed for children who are generally turning 5 or 6 years old and are continuing to develop the skills needed for school readiness.
In this class, we place a strong emphasis on:
๐Ÿ“š Early literacy and numeracy
๐Ÿค Social and emotional development
๐ŸŽจ Creativity and problem-solving
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Communication and independence
๐ŸŒฟ Learning through meaningful, play-based experiences
Children continue to benefit from a structured, supportive environment where learning is adapted to their individual strengths and developmental goals.
As with all our classes, placement is not determined by age alone. We carefully consider each child's developmental profile, learning style and support needs to ensure they are in the environment where they will flourish.

๐Ÿ’™ Meet Our Blue Class ๐Ÿ’™
Our Blue Class is where many of our youngest Coral Tree learners begin their journey.
While most of our Blue Class children are turning 3 or 4 years old, we welcome children from 2 years of age into this nurturing environment.
This class focuses on:
๐ŸŒฑ Building secure relationships
๐Ÿงธ Learning through play
๐Ÿ’ฌ Developing communication and social skills
๐Ÿ‘ Sensory exploration
โค๏ธ Establishing routines that help children feel safe and confident
With small class sizes and individualised support, every child is given the time and encouragement they need to learn, grow and thrive at their own pace.
At Coral Tree, we know that every child's developmental journey is unique. For this reason, class placement is based on each child's individual needs and readiness rather than age alone, ensuring they receive the right level of support to reach their full potential.
