In 1980, under the proprietorship of Anwar Ajam, Anwar's Driving School was established in Port Elizabeth. Gradually and through the years working with mostly the disadvantaged, I became a very successful and well-known Driving School in Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape.
Maintaining a very high standard of teaching and pass rate due to the dynamic and professional approach. However, up unto 1989, South Africans were using a system known as K52. With the K52 system, the public would pass very easily but it caused problems as South Africa boasts the highest accident death rate in the world.
In 1990, a new driving system, K53 was introduced resulting in a high failure rate throughout our country causing the public and students to become frustrated, resulting in corruption in driver licences.
I, Anwar Ajam undertook to research and develop a unique method of teaching the K53 system to the layman and students. Three years of research and development resulted in the visuals, commentary and booklet designed from an instructors point of view, to create a friendly approach to the K53.
The system is designed on a principal of "Training the Mind" before the Practical.
It led to a drastic improvement to the pass rate and students enjoy its simplicity. A system of simplified diagrams with commentary is used to illustrate all aspects of the K53 system.
Reading and stufying the book will provide you, the reader with a clear vision and understanding of K53, and the best way of implementing it.
