During the holidays Jean Schultz had the honour to captain the South African U/17 Indoor Cricket World Cup Team.

The World Cup took place in Pretoria.

Pearson is proudly represented in the green and gold at the current SAWP Cape Town Invitational Water Polo Tournament!

Congratulations to Sarah Whitehead, Michael Swart and Tatum Dace, representing South Africa in the SA U17 Girls and Boys teams, as they prepare for the EU Nations Cup in Brno, Czech Republic, in November.

We are also incredibly proud of Nerine Loock, selected as the SA Women’s Team Biokineticist and Psychologist.

We are proud of Henrico Bodenstein and Henrico Ferreira that were part of the Eastern Province u/17 7's team that took part in the Inter Provincial Sevens Competition in Heidelberg this weekend.

Eastern Province won the Cup Competition for the first time this year.

Day 2 of the Milton Gates Plate Boys’ water polo tournament continued with playoff matches for our u15 boys.

Results were as follows:

Vs Grey 15B : lost 5-7
Vs Grey College 14A : won 12-11 after penalty shootout
Vs Kingswood : won 9-3

The Pearson boys ended 5th overall.

The much anticipated Eastern Province League (EPL) Cricket Tournament took place across the Metro during the past 5 days.

24 Pearson players were drafted to play in the various Franchise teams and performed well.

Many of our Pearson coaches were also involved coaching different age groups. Mr Charl van der Merwe as owner and Director of Cricket at the Bayside Pelicans Franchise, and Mr Klaasen, Mr Mart, Mr Hamilton and Coach Wire were selected as coaches for various teams.

Our beautiful campus also played host to the U12 and U/16 age groups as well as various finals.

Aiden Schultz was named player of the match in one of his matches and named bowler of the series in the U/14 age group.

Chase Finkelstein was named player of the match in 2 of his matches.

Nathan van der Merwe stole the show in the U13 age division and claimed 3 man of the match awards, and won the awards for the batsman and player of the series.

From dense ancient forests to high mountain peaks, the Pearson hiking crew conquered the Garden Route over the school holidays, completing three incredible and diverse trails.

Their adventure took them deep into the magical, mossy indigenous forest of Kringe in die Bos, where they hiked past the famous 800-year-old Outeniqua Yellowwood tree.

They then explored the scenic paths of the Garden Route Botanical Garden, taking in the local fynbos at the foot of the mountains, before tackling their toughest challenge yet: the steep, technical climb up Vensterberg Peak, where everyone pushed through the sore legs to reach the summit.

Thanks to all the hikers that made this hike a memorable one!

Pearson High School would like to congratulate Henrico Bodenstein and Henrico Ferreira on their selection and official capping for the Eastern Province U17 Sevens team at tonight’s capping ceremony held at THS Daniel Pienaar in Kariega.

Adding to the honour, Henrico Bodenstein was announced as Vice-Captain of the team.

The Eastern Province U17 Sevens side will depart Gqeberha on Wednesday and travel to Heidelberg, Gauteng, where they will represent the province at the upcoming interprovincial competition.

The final day of the National Co-Ed Water Polo Tournament saw our First Team girls crowned as the CHAMPIONS after they defeated Thomas More 8 - 3 in the final. Our boys placed 8th overall.

Congratulations to Leendert Bezuidenhout and Nathan Heyns on achieving their 100th cap for the First Team Boys.

A massive congratulations to Milan Janse van Rensburg, Olivia Attwell, Sarah Whitehead, and Tatum Dace on being selected for the tournament team. A special congratulations to Milan Janse van Rensburg for being selected as the defender of the tournament.
