Pearson had a tough day in Kariega during their final fixture against Brandwag.

Despite a strong wind both schools played some brilliant running rugby.

What a fantastic way to end the season!

Our netball teams took to the court today against our hosts, Brandwag, in challenging and windy conditions.

Across 14 games, Pearson came away with 11 wins, 2 draws and only 1 loss — a brilliant overall result and a reflection of the hard work and commitment of our players and coaches.

The day was filled with great sportsmanship, camaraderie and competitive netball between two proud schools.

A special mention to our Matrics who played their final derby of their school careers. What a way to finish!

Die A-span het vanmiddag vir Theodor Herzl 5-2 geklop.

Na al 7 rondtes is ons A-span onoorwonne en eindig eerste in hul afdeling.

Welgedaan aan ons A-span! Ons hou duimvas dat hulle vir die uitspeelrondtes kwalifiseer.

Ons B-span het vanmiddag gelykop 3,5 - 3,5 teen Cillie gespeel.

Our Science Club recently had a fun afternoon with one of our favourite experiments — Elephant Toothpaste!

The Science Committee first demonstrated the experiment for the learners, and then the learners had the opportunity to try it out for themselves. There were lots of colourful reactions, plenty of foam and lots of excited faces.

It was lovely to see the learners getting stuck in, experimenting and enjoying science outside of the classroom.

Die derde kwartaal se Bloedskenkingsveldtog is onlangs in die Deary-saal gehou.

Vele Pearsoniete het gewys hoe dapper hulle is en het besluit om vir die eerste keer bloed te skenk. Ons wil graag die SANBS vir hulle inisiatief en harde werk bedank.

Ons wil ook graag erkenning aan al die ongelooflike graad 10-vrywilligers gee wat so maklik vir ons Matriekkomitee ingestaan het.

Ons volgende Bloedskenkingsveldtog sal in die vierde kwartaal plaasvind.

Grade 8 and Grade 9 Pearson learners had the opportunity to take part in an educational exchange programme with the Vishwa Vidyapeeth Group of Schools in India.

It was a Model United Nations (MUN) global academic simulation of the United Nations where students take on the roles of country delegates.

It taught the learners diplomacy and negotiation, research and policy writing, structured debate procedures, global geopolitical awareness, leadership, teamwork, and conflict resolution.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our learners to broaden their horizons and we hope to continue with similar collaborations in the future.

This year’s Interact Induction Dinner was particularly special and nostalgic as we marked 46 years of Interact at Pearson during our Centenary year.

We were delighted to receive messages from past Interact Presidents, who shared their memories and good wishes as we celebrated this wonderful legacy. It was also a privilege to welcome former Teachers in Charge of Interact, whose contribution and dedication have helped shape the club over the years.

The Rotary Youth Director conducted the formal induction of Sarah Raubenheimer and her new committee. A heartfelt thank you to our outgoing committee for their leadership and service, to the parents who so generously organised the evening, and to the members of the Junior Leadership Committee, who served our guests with such efficiency and warmth. We wish Sarah and the 2026/2027 Senior Committee every success as they take the reins.

May it be a year filled with friendship, service, leadership and many memorable moments!

Our last official fixture for the winter season versus Brandwag will be taking place this weekend in Uitenhage on their campus.
