Twee van Pearson se spanne dra die Oos-Kaap Kampioenskapskroon!

Pearson se netbalspanne het die afgelope naweek nuwe hoogtes bereik toe ons twee goue titels tydens die Oos-Kaap se Skolekampioenskappe in Oos-Londen verower het.

Die o.19A-en o.14A-spanne is as Oos-Kaap kampioene gekroon en het goud verwerf.🥇

Die o.15A-span het 'n silwermedalje gewen🥈, terwyl die o.16A-span met brons weggestap het.🥉

Hierdie uitslae benadruk die ongelooflike talent, harde werk en toewyding wat deur al die spanne gedurende die seisoen getoon is.

Die o.14A-span se prestasie was besonder merkwaardig. Nadat hulle tydens die metro-ligas op punte gelyk geëindig het en slegs op doelgemiddeld tweede moes eindig, het hulle die geleentheid aangegryp om hulself as ‘n formidabele span te bewys. In die eindstryd van die Oos-Kaap Kampioenskappe het hulle die span geklop wat eerste in die metro geëindig het om die goue medalje op te verower. Dit het hul status as die beste o.14-span in die provinsie bevestig.

Ons o.19-span is in ‘n klas van hul eie!
Deur die loop van die seisoen het hulle deurgaans bewys dat hulle teen die sterkste spanne kan meeding én presteer. Die Oos-Kaap-titel was die beloning vir maande se opoffering, dissipline en harde werk.

Wat hierdie prestasie besonders maak, is dat Pearson beide die eerstespan én ons jongste junior A-span as Oos-Kaap kampioene kon kroon.

Dit spreek boekdele van die netbalgehalte wat by die skool gespeel word en die sterk grondslag wat reeds in die jong ouderdomsgroepe gevestig word.

In sport word daar dikwels gepraat oor tradisie, geskiedenis en reputasie. Hierdie seisoen het egter gewys dat sukses op die baan verdien word . Ons spelers het nie nodig gehad om aan grootpratery deel te neem nie — hulle uitslae het namens hulle gepraat. Ons het teen van die sterkste skole in die provinsie meegeding en het opnuut gewys dat ons die medaljes waardig is.

Met twee goue medaljes, een silwer en een brons het Pearson hul plek onder die voorste netbalskole van die Oos-Kaap bevestig. Hulle het ook bewys dat die toekoms van Pearson-netbal blink!

Our u14A, u15A, u16A and 1st team netball teams are safely in East London ahead of the East Cape netball playoffs.

The highlight of the Thunderstrike Wrestling event held on Saturday was the “Title Bout” between Mr du Plessis and Mr Hamilton!

When the professional wrestlers threatened to spoil the show, Mr du Plessis and Mr Hamilton joined forces and showed the visitors who was boss!

Thank you to our staff for being such wonderful sports and for closing off our event in style!

Despite the rain and exams, wrestling fans still showed up to support the Thunderstrike Wrestling fundraising event on Saturday.

Thank you to our spectators for braving the weather, and to the wrestlers for providing us with great entertainment.

A special thank you to our Pearson Sport staff and our Estate staff for ensuring the event ran smoothly.
