Last week at Brainy Bugs
Loads of arts and crafts to keep us busy on rainy days! We made our own stickers, created playdough monsters, played Lego and small world, started painting for mother's Day, and created Marie biscuits art to eat!

Last week at Brainy Bugs
Lots of Easter excitement was building so we stuck to that theme and created bunnies in everything!
Art included pastels work, painting, stamping and cutting! Keeping little brains and hands busy!

Thursday at Brainy Bugs-
We drew and decorated our names, cut them out and added them to our front pages:) loads of sequin and felt tip decorations added too!
Some Xhosa singing and dancing with Jen outside followed by action filled follow-the-leader with Monique:)
And of course, colouring and dancing to end the day

And we are back for Term 2!
Yesterday we started our new art book front covers - we used droppers of primary colours to make dots on paper, then used straws to blow the paint drops into each other, creating patterns and learning colour mixes at the same time!
Loads of social play outdoors as the kiddos were super excited to be back at school with their friends!

Someone couldn't wait to open their Brainy Bugs Easter Crafts Box!
The playdough activity helps with fine motor control, as the kiddos shape small pieces to create egg patterns. They also practice shape and colour names as they design their patterns.
And don't stress when they mix colours- it's great to experiment with learning colour mixes, and it also take great fine motor muscle exercise to blend the playdough colours too!

Monday at Brainy Bugs-
With Easter around the corner, we themed every table 'Easter Bunny'. In art we used cotton wool to create a bunny which we decorated with eyes, a bow and felt tip background.
On the Lego table we built bunnies too!
And some serious fun on the playdough table creating bunnies and Easter eggs!
