Silulo Stories | The Story Behind Our Name

Did you know how Silulo got its name?

The journey began with three visionaries: Luvuyo, Lonwabo and Sigqibo. Starting with refurbished computers and a shared dream of making technology accessible, they combined their strengths to build something bigger than a business.

The name Silulo comes from the first letters of their names:
🔹 Si – Sigqibo
🔹 Lu – Luvuyo
🔹 Lo – Lonwabo

Together, they created Silulo Ulutho, meaning "we bring value through technology."

From day one, Silulo was built as a social enterprise focused on empowering communities through digital skills, technology, and opportunities.

Today, that vision continues to impact thousands of lives across South Africa.
