Calling all Linksiders, past and present!!!

On the 4th of December we are bidding a sad farewell to Mrs Landman who will be retiring after 17 years of teaching at Linkside and 37 years in education. Her excellence as a Maths teacher is unprecedented. She has laid a solid foundation for those who will follow in her footsteps for many years to come.

We are asking as many of her ex-learners as possible to make a short video clip saying a few words of thanks to her, from fond memories to what she meant to you over the course of your high school career.

We would like to put all the little video clips together as a tribute to her and as a keepsake of the lives she touched and how she impacted the Linksiders who were fortunate enough to be taught by her. We would especially love for her to know where you are now in your career as well.

Our 1st annual Linkside Community Christmas Concert on the 8th of December 2023, at Trinity Baptist Church (41 Cape Rd) at 18:00.

Admission for adults: only R20!!
FREE ADMISSION for pensioners and children u/12.

Pensioners from all over the city are invited to join us for the dress rehearsal at 11:00, which will also be free of charge AND will include muffins and juice!!

Come and enjoy Christmas Carols, solo performances and instrumental music by our school bands

Please share and invite family and friends to join us for an evening of celebration and togetherness during this most wonderful time of the year!!

Security for motor vehicles will be provided.

To all Linksiders who had the immense privilege of knowing, working with or being taught by Mr John Wilke, we share the very sad news that he passed away Saturday evening.

He had the most gentle spirit, incredible wisdom, unshakeable faith and made an immeasurable contribution to the school's Economics department.

We extend our sincere condolences to Mrs Wilké and the entire Wilke family for the loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to so many.

To us he will forever be remembered as a true blue Linkside legend!
