This Women's Month, we're challenging every Grey boy and his family to make a meaningful difference.

For many girls and women in underprivileged communities across South Africa, access to basic sanitary products isn't guaranteed. Every month, countless girls miss school, lose confidence, and face unnecessary shame because "sanitary pads are a luxury their families simply cannot afford ".
As a school community, we can help change that!

While periods may not affect us personally, they affect our mothers, sisters, friends, classmates, teammates, and millions of women across our country.

Our Grey High Squash team heads to Pietermaritzburg this weekend to compete in the 2026 SA Top Schools Squash Championships from 8 to 11 August.

The tournament brings together the top school squash teams from across South Africa, all competing for the national title. We wish our boys every success as they represent Grey High School with pride, determination and sportsmanship.

Good luck, boys. We are all behind you.

Learning comes to life when our boys can experience science beyond the classroom.

Our Grade 10 and Grade 11 Life Sciences learners recently took part in a series of practical investigations as part of their studies on the human body. Grade 11 learners, under the guidance of Mrs Saunders, explored gaseous exchange by testing their lung capacity and inflating a buck’s lung to better understand the delicate structure of lung tissue. Our Grade 10 learners also had the opportunity to dissect a heart, gaining valuable first-hand insight into its anatomy and function.

These hands on experiences help develop curiosity, critical thinking and a deeper appreciation for the incredible complexity of the human body. Thank you to our dedicated Natural Sciences staff for creating meaningful learning opportunities that our boys will remember for years to come.

Today we have the privilege of welcoming Muir College and Westering High School to Grey High for an afternoon of exciting schoolboy rugby.

If you are able to join us, come along and support the boys as they take to the Grey Fields. It promises to be a fantastic afternoon of rugby, and all matches on the Kolisi Field will also be streamed live for those who cannot attend.

History was made last weekend as Grey High’s U15A Rugby team secured a memorable 22-21 victory over Grey College.

Against one of South Africa’s strongest rugby schools, our boys showed courage, determination and composure to earn a result that will be remembered for years to come. Congratulations to the players and coaches on this outstanding achievement.

The Grey High School Junior Golf Festival tees off tomorrow, and we are excited to welcome 12 outstanding golfing schools from across South Africa.

From 7 to 9 August, some of the country’s top junior golfers in Grades 8 to 10 will compete on three of Gqeberha’s premier courses, Humewood Links, Wedgewood Estate and Port Elizabeth Golf Club, showcasing skill, sportsmanship and a passion for the game.

We wish every player and team the very best for the tournament and look forward to three days of outstanding golf.
