End period poverty. Start with one donation. 💜

This Women's Month, we're challenging every Grey boy and his family to make a meaningful difference.

For many girls and women in underprivileged communities across South Africa, access to basic sanitary products isn't guaranteed. Every month, countless girls miss school, lose confidence, and face unnecessary shame because "sanitary pads are a luxury their families simply cannot afford ".
As a school community, we can help change that!

While periods may not affect us personally, they affect our mothers, sisters, friends, classmates, teammates, and millions of women across our country.

By donating sanitary products, you're helping a young woman:
💜 Stay in school
💜 Participate with confidence
💜 Face each month with dignity.

We're collecting:
💜 Sanitary pads
💜 Tampons
💜 Panty liners
💜 Wet wipes

Every item donated matters. Every contribution helps.

Today, 9 August, South Africa marks National Women’s Day and remembers the courage of the approximately 20,000 women who marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria in 1956 to protest against apartheid pass laws.

More than 70 years later, Women’s Day remains an opportunity to remember those who came before us, recognise the progress made, and celebrate the women who continue to make a meaningful difference in our families, our schools, our communities and our country.

To the mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, teachers, colleagues, friends and mentors who inspire, support, guide and shape the lives of those around them, we celebrate you.

Happy Women’s Day from the Grey High School community.

Learning comes to life when our boys can experience science beyond the classroom.

Our Grade 10 and Grade 11 Life Sciences learners recently took part in a series of practical investigations as part of their studies on the human body. Grade 11 learners, under the guidance of Mrs Saunders, explored gaseous exchange by testing their lung capacity and inflating a buck’s lung to better understand the delicate structure of lung tissue. Our Grade 10 learners also had the opportunity to dissect a heart, gaining valuable first-hand insight into its anatomy and function.

These hands on experiences help develop curiosity, critical thinking and a deeper appreciation for the incredible complexity of the human body. Thank you to our dedicated Natural Sciences staff for creating meaningful learning opportunities that our boys will remember for years to come.

History was made last weekend as Grey High’s U15A Rugby team secured a memorable 22-21 victory over Grey College.

Against one of South Africa’s strongest rugby schools, our boys showed courage, determination and composure to earn a result that will be remembered for years to come. Congratulations to the players and coaches on this outstanding achievement.

A special thank you to our Grey High photographers, Kody Klaas and Amyoli Kom, for capturing the moments from this unforgettable match.
