With Nelson Mandela Day on 𝟏𝟖 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 , the EP Child & Youth Care Centre invites local businesses and companies with Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programmes to partner with us and make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐏 𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠:

Every day, 12 children wake up, get ready for school, brush their teeth, wash their faces, and prepare for the day ahead.

Just like any family home, toiletries are used every single day.

The difference is that these 12 children rely on the generosity of people like you to help provide these everyday essentials.

This month, we're looking for a sponsor to help care for one of our houses by providing toiletries for the children who call it home.

Help Us Equip Our Youth for Independence 🎒

The social workers at the EP Child and Youth Care Centre are reaching out to the caring community of Gqeberha with a heartfelt request.

We have about 𝟓 (2 senior boys and 3 senior girls) who will be discharged in December 2026. While this is an exciting milestone, it can also be incredibly daunting. Many of them step into independence with very limited resources and support.

We would like to put together School Leavers “Survival Kits” to help them transition with dignity, confidence, and hope.
We are urgently looking for the following support:

🤝𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝

We are looking for volunteers who can engage with our school leavers through meaningful discussions and practical guidance around:
* Independence and responsibility
* Decision making
* Employment readiness
* Money management
* Basic life skills

We kindly request all former children and young adults who were in the care of EP Child and Youth Care Centre to please contact Riaan so that he can assist in setting up and growing the EP Alumni community.

This alumni is being created for the benefit of EP and the children currently in our care. It is an opportunity to:

✨ Encourage and inspire the next generation
✨ Build a stronger future for the children currently in our care
✨ Reconnect as a family and community

🥫 Fill the Cupboard Campaign

The children at EP Child and Youth Care Centre rely on the generosity of our community to help keep their cupboards full.

We are currently collecting unexpired, non-perishable food items to support the daily needs of the children.

Items such as:
• Tinned foods
• Pasta and rice
• Long-life milk
• Cereals
• Peanut butter
• Cooking oil
• Any other non-perishable groceries

Every donation, big or small, helps ensure that the children always have meals and essentials available.
