With our children being at home the nightmare of being physically Bullied is a distant memory, for now.

However this is when Online and Social Media bullying will be more apparent.

Parents need to be more vigilant during a tough time when children are very vulnerable to the 'silent'. Only silent because we as parents do not make ourselves aware of what our children are being exposed to.

Check phones, monitor any sudden change in moods........ Do not make the mistake of blaming all on lockdown and cabin fever.

If we as parents do not take action ..... we allow the Bullying to continue? A half an hour talk initiated by the school is not nearly enough, although the school may be of the opinion thst they have done their bit in doing so. Workshops for the Bullied, the Bully ( including those who watch and do nothing ), covering each aspect in a thorough and interactive manner, educating the child and changing mindsets and we may just win this battle. CHANGE NOTHING AND NOTHING WILL CHANGE!!

Your child is on Social Media platforms - and you are OK with the fact that a increasing amount of Bullying occurs on these platforms, not to mention child trafficking etc. A school visited last week had about 85% of Grade 7 learners on Social Media - Parents, you contribute to your child's low self esteem by allowing access at a young age!

Workshops for Children of all ages are now available - Allow your Children to learn about every aspect - most importantly HOW TO HANDLE BEING BULLIED!!
