♦️Pride Month♦️
Revolutionary Greetings to all lovers and sympathizers of the EFF and the EFF Youth Command.
The EFFYC Molly Blackburn Subregion joins millions across the world in commemorating Pride Month, a month dedicated to celebrating the dignity, humanity, resilience, and rights of the LGBTQIA+ community.
As a revolutionary movement that’s all about equality, human dignity, freedom, non-sexism, and social justice, the EFF/YC is committed to protecting and advancing LGBTQIA+ rights. We call against discrimination, hate, or violence based on someone's sexual orientation or gender identity.
The struggle for liberation is incomplete if any group of society continues to experience oppression, victimisation, or marginalisation. We firmly believe that every person deserves to live freely, safely, and with dignity, regardless of who they are or whom they love.
During this Pride Month, we reaffirm our solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community and call on all members of society to actively oppose homophobia, transphobia, hate crimes, and all forms of gender-based violence. We further call for stronger measures to protect the LGBTQIA+ community from violence, harassment, and discrimination in our communities, schools, workplaces, and institutions.
We wish the LGBTQIA+ community a meaningful, safe, and joyous Pride Month.Your struggle is our struggle, and your liberation is part of the broader struggle for human emancipation.
Happy Pride Month🏳️🌈

♦️Red Friday/ workers Day♦️
Revolutionary greetings to the lovers and sympathizers of the EFF and fighters at large.
As we commemorate Workers’ Day, the SRYILC and NMU BTT carried out a successful voter registration and membership drive as part of Red Friday.
Todday, while honouring the struggles and sacrifices of workers, we also took practical steps in building the future by mobilising students and young people to register to vote and join the revolutionary movement.
The programme was a great success, with strong participation from the youth of Molly Blackburn who came in numbers to be part of a mission for economic emacipation.
There is no better way to honour Workers’ Day than through action, organisation, and commitment to the struggle for dignity and decent opportunities for everyone
Fighters and participants who made today possible. Your dedication proves that the revolution is in capable hands.
“The rights workers enjoy today were won through struggle, and the victories of tomorrow will be won through organised youth.”

The EFF Youth Command at Nelson Mandela University extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the student who tragically lost their life during the horrific stabbing incident that occurred last night at Admiralty Way in Summerstrand. We also send our strength and solidarity to the student who is currently fighting for her life in hospital and to all those who witnessed this traumatic event.
This heartbreaking incident has once again shown the harsh and unsafe reality faced daily by NMU students a reality where fear and violence have become a routine part of student life. It is not the first time students have been robbed, attacked, or traumatized around off-campus residences. What is most painful is that many of these cases could have been prevented if the university had taken its responsibility toward student safety seriously.
Throughout the year, the EFF Youth Command has raised concerns about the growing number of thefts, assaults, and acts of violence targeting students, especially those staying in private and accredited off-campus accommodations. In many instances, either security was absent, poorly trained, or failed to respond adequately. The negligence in enforcing proper safety standards for student housing has placed countless lives at risk.
Nelson Mandela University cannot continue to wash its hands of responsibility while benefiting from partnerships with private accommodation owners who fail to meet basic safety requirements. The same way NMU provides transport and station security officers across on-campus residences, it must extend that same protection to every space that houses its students.
We therefore demand:
1.Immediate deployment of NMU security personnel or accredited safety officers to all off-campus residences where NMU students reside.
2. Anyone with information that can assist in identifying or apprehending the perpetrators must urgently come forward and report it to the South African Police Service (SAPS). Those responsible must be found and held fully accountable for their actions.
3. Mandatory safety compliance for all residences housing NMU students -failure to meet security standards must lead to immediate disaccreditation.
4. Urgent mental health and trauma support for students affected by this tragedy
5.Out of respect for the loved ones of the victims can the resharing and posting of the images and videos of this tragic event be stopped!
One life lost is one too many. The EFFYC NMU stands firmly with the affected’s families and wont rest until the safety and dignity of our fellow students is protected.
Further more lets all avail ourselves to the march wearing black attire to show our support .
